Adjustable armrest device

An armrest, has a stationary shaft rotatably supporting an armrest body against a seat frame. The stationary shaft is inserted, so as to have fastening tolerance, inside a coil lock spring and to have a stationary-side hook and a free-side hook. A diameter of the coil lock spring is reduced or enlarged according to a normal or a reverse rotation, respectively, of the armrest body, so as to prevent or permit, respectively, the rotation of the armrest body. One of the inside diameter of the lock spring and the outside diameter of the stationary shaft is tapered in said shaft's axial direction.

Armrest

Provided is a hinge device for connecting one member and another member so that the hinge device allows opening and closing, including: a movable shaft; a first bracket non-rotatably fixed to the movable shaft and fixed to the one member; a second bracket rotatably and axially movably installed on the movable shaft and fixed to the other member; and a plate spring member formed in a curved configuration, having at a top of the curved configuration of the plate spring member a projection whose surface in contact with the second bracket is flat, and non-rotatably and axially movably installed on the movable shaft, in which the second bracket and the plate spring member are pressed against and held in contact with each other and make relative rotation.

Hinge device

A simple fastening device has a structure where a lock piece is forced by a spring to engage with an axial member in a case. When the axial memberis inserted into the case, the lock piece is moved away from the axial member by a releasing member. The lock piece is connected to the releasing member by a pin.

A facilitated tightening device allowing a bolt to be inserted smoothly by preventing a screw block engaged with the bolt from being inclined or falling down, comprising a base () having a bolt-insertion hole () partly forming a bolt-receiving face () and a slope portion () gradually decreasing in radius toward the insertion side of the bolt () in a manner so as to match the bolt-insertion hole () formed therein, a running screw () slid along the slope portion () as a result of the axial movement of the inserted bolt () to be engaged with the bolt (), a spring piece () that presses the running screw () in the downward, in the diameter-reducing direction of the running screw (), and guide projections () that engage with the running screw () so as to prevent the screw block () from falling down into the base (). Also, a groove for the running screwis formed in the baseso as to prevent said running screwfrom wobbling in the circumferential direction.

Facilitated tightening device

An armrest apparatus includes a fixed shaft fixed to a seat frame, a rotation plate integrally connected to an armrest body and having a tubular portion into which the fixed shaft is inserted, a lock spring wound tightly on outer peripheral surfaces of a part of the fixed shaft and the tubular portion of the rotation plate in a free condition, a cancellation block rotatably mounted on a pivot shaft, and a cam unit mounted on a distal end of the fixed shaft and including a lock-canceling cam portion and a re-lock cam portion, the re-lock cam portion being spaced from the lock-canceling cam portion in a direction of rotation of the cam member.

Armrest apparatus

A shaft lock apparatus, whose tilt angle between the apparatus's shaft and its rotating member is adjusted by a stable friction torque, and whose structure is simple. It is furnished with a rotating member ( ) through which a shaft ( ) passes in a condition of free rotation, and with elastic pressure members ( ) and ( ) through which the shaft ( ) passes in a condition of bound rotation so as to keep the angle between the rotating member ( ) and the shaft ( ) at a desired degree by pressing against the rotating member ( ).

Shaft lock device

A boot band includes a locking hole formed in an outer overlapping portion of a band body, a locking nail formed on an inner overlapping portion, and an ear portion which can be plastically deformed into a shape that decreases the circumferential length of the band body. When being inserted in the locking hole, the locking nail can move between an engaging position to engage with a ridge of the locking hole and a disengaging position to disengage from the ridge. A narrow portion is formed at an intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction of the locking hole to restrain the locking nail from returning from the engaging position to the disengaging position side.

Boot band

A boot-band, of which the ear portion is highly rigid, that lowers the prominence of the ear portion. An outer overlap portion and an inner overlap portion are fixed together by inserting hooking claws into holes, with the band-body being curled into the shape of a ring. In a region of the band-body in the circumferential direction is formed an ear portion that has a pair of outwardly prominent leg portions and a bridge portion that connects the leg portions. At the opposite ends of the bridge portion, along a line that is perpendicular to the circumference, are formed rib-like parts that are inwardly bent and between which is formed a dowel portion. The rib-like parts are so arc-shaped that the inward prominence, which protrudes into the ear portion, increases toward the middle of the bridge portion in the clamping direction. The length of the rib-like parts is not long enough for the rib-like parts to reach the curved portions, but is 60% or more of the length of the bridge portion.

Boot-band

The boot band is made of a belt-like metal band body having first and second ends, and includes first and second caulking portions which are plastically deformed during assembly. An engage nail is provided at the top end of a leg portion of the first caulking portion. The second caulking portion includes of first and second projection walls, and a receive hole in which the engage nail is inserted is formed in the second projection wall. When the winding diameter of the band body is decreased to some extent, the second caulking portion is inserted inside the first caulking portion, and the engage nail and the receive hole are engaged with each other. In this state, the first and second caulking portions are integrally deformed plastically by a tool.

A short leg brace which is composed of a foot mount and a calf splint pivotably attached to each other so as to allow plantar and dorsal flexions and which is provided with a compression spring between the splint and the heel portion of the mount for elastically hindering the plantar flexion.

A length-adjusting device for a control cable, comprising a stationary base member to which an outer cable or an inner cable of the control cable is fixedly secured, and into which a cylindrical adjusting pipe, having circular grooves formed and disposed thereon in parallel is inserted and movable in axial direction thereof; an adjusting piece, having a resilient spring, and having a pair of similarly pitched locking teeth for engagement to and release from the circular grooves, which is moveably inserted in a direction perpendicularly to the axis of the adjusting pipe and into an aperture in the stationary base member; and wherein the adjusting piece is biased by the resilient spring which is disposed between the stationary base member and the adjusting piece, for engaging the circular grooves with the locking teeth, and at the same time enabling the release of the engagement by movement against the resilient force of the resilient spring by means of an external force, and wherein the adjusting piece having opposing side plates is further provided with latching windows at their ends for engagement with corresponding latching elements provided on a pair of oppositely disposed side plates of the stationary base member.

Length adjusting device for control cable

An automatic tension controlling mechanism of a control cable having a tension controlling mechanism. The tension controlling mechanism includes a case through which through a threaded rod of a control cable passes, a split threaded ring composed of plural split parts stored in the case which can be meshed with threaded rod, a spring stored in the case, and a tapered face formed in the case so as to urge the split threaded ring in the direction of meshing with the threaded rod.

Automatic tension controlling mechanism of control cable

A lock arm is rotatably provided on a base bracket. A ratchet is rotatably disposed on a shaft member provided at an end portion of the lock arm. A distal-end claw portion of the ratchet is shaped to be engageable with reverse motion preventing teeth formed on the base bracket. A stopper wall is provided on a proximal end portion of the lock arm. In the state in which an engaging portion of the trigger lever abuts upon the stopper wall, an end portion of the trigger lever is supported by a movable body. Thereby, the lock arm is held in a normal position. The movable body moves from a first position toward a second position at the time of a collision. A support shaft or the center of rotation of the trigger lever is located on a higher level than a location where the lock arm is engaged with the trigger lever. The movable body is provided with a recess in which the end portion of the trigger lever is put when the movable body has moved from the first position to the second position.

Seat belt tightening device

A length-adjusting device for a control cable, which can be made compact, operated within a small stroke and kept securely locked, and can, as well, be assembled easily, comprising: an adjusting pipe (1), having latching teeth (5) thereon, to be fixed with an outer control cable and penetrated by an inner control cable, a base member (2), to be penetrated by said adjusting pipe (1) movably along the axis thereof, and fixed to a stationary member and an adjusting piece (30) with locking teeth (6) to engage with said latching teeth (5), wherein the movement of said adjusting pipe (1) relative to said base member (2) is locked by means of the engagement of said latching teeth (5) with said locking teeth (6), and the extent of said movement is restricted within a concave (4) of said adjusting pipe (1), after releasing said engagement (refer to FIG. 6 ).
