A liquid level detecting device includes the segment electrodes with which the sliding contact is in sliding contact according to the movable body's movement, an output electrode that produces an electrical output corresponding to an electrical resistance between the sliding contact and the output electrode, a resistive element having a higher resistance than the segment electrodes and located across the segment electrodes and the output electrode to be electrically connected thereto, and adjustment electrodes provided on the mounting surface corresponding to the electrode groups respectively. The adjustment electrode is electrically connected to a specific electrode, which is a specific segment electrode in a corresponding electrode group, to have its electrical resistance adjusted in advance with respect to the output electrode. The circuit board includes a cut mark recessed from the mounting surface between the segment electrodes other than the specific electrode in each electrode group and a corresponding adjustment electrode.

Liquid level detecting device and method of manufacturing same

A liquid surface detecting device includes a movable body, a circuit board, segment electrodes, an output electrode, and a resistive element located across the segment electrodes and the output electrode to be electrically connected thereto. The segment electrodes are arranged on the mounting surface in an electrode region. The resistive element includes first and second resistive portions on both sides of the electrode region in the movement direction. The resistive element is electrically connected to the output electrode at each of the first and second resistive portions. The movement direction in which the movable body moves according to a decrease of the liquid surface level is defined as a reference direction. The second resistive portion located further in the reference direction than the first resistive portion is completely cut off to block a conduction between its output electrode side and electrode region side.

Liquid surface detecting device and method of manufacturing same

A liquid-surface detection device includes terminals and an electronic component that has a body portion and a lead portion projecting from the body portion and being connected to the terminals. A method for manufacturing the liquid-surface detection device includes arranging the electronic component in a casing that has a mounting surface and covers the terminals, and connecting the lead portion and the terminals. The mounting surface has a base surface with a planar shape, an island projecting from the base surface and a hole recessed from the base surface. The lead portion is placed in a positioning groove of the island. A curved surface of the body portion is supported by an edge of the hole. Accordingly, a yield can be increased.

Method for manufacturing a liquid-surface detection device

A variable-resistor plate for a liquid level detector includes: a substrate main body that is formed from a material having insulation properties; sliding electrodes that are spaced from each other and are arranged side by side along a slide locus of a slide member, which is displaced relative to the plate in accordance with a liquid surface level, on the substrate main body; a resistor that mutually connects the sliding electrodes to generate electric resistances between the sliding electrodes and that enables the correction of the variations in resistance value among individuals through adjustment of a shape of the resistor on the substrate main body; an adjustment contact part that is formed at at least one sliding electrode and is located to be deviated from the slide locus of the slide member, a measuring part of a measuring device being brought into contact with the adjustment contact part; and a pair of correction contact parts that are formed at a correction electrode, which is provided on the substrate main body, the measuring part being brought into contact with each correction contact part.

Variable-resistor plate for liquid level detector, variable-resistor plate production method, and liquid level detector

A liquid surface detector includes a terminal, a covering portion, and a sealing film. The terminal includes a ridge portion between a first wall face and a second wall face. The terminal sends an electric signal relating to detection of height of a liquid surface. The covering portion covers the terminal. The sealing film is formed between the terminal and the covering portion and is put into close contact with the terminal and the covering portion. The terminal further includes a groove and two second slant faces. The groove has a V-shape in cross-section and includes two first slant faces. The groove cuts off in the V-shape the ridge portion of an area of the first wall face covered with the sealing film. The two second slant faces respectively connect together an area of the second wall face covered with the sealing film and the two first slant faces. A boundary portion formed by contact between the two second slant faces which are opposed to each other is continuous with a top portion of the groove.

Liquid surface detector

A housing of a liquid level detection device includes an inner case, which has a first wall portion, and a terminal, which has a projection that extends through the first wall portion and projects to an outside of the inner case. The first wall portion and the projection are covered with a covering portion. A first seal film, which connects between an outer peripheral surface of the projection and the first wall portion, is formed in an inside of the covering portion. A film thickness of the first seal film along an edge line of the terminal progressively increases toward the first wall portion.

Liquid level detection device and manufacturing method of liquid level detection device

A liquid-level detection device detects a level of a surface of liquid stored in a container. The liquid-level detection device includes: a float that floats on the surface of liquid; a rotatable body that rotates due to a upward or downward displacement of the float and includes a rotation contact part; a supporting body that rotatably supports the rotatable body and includes a supporting contact part which is located on a rotational track of the rotation contact part to restrict the rotation of the rotatable body in a specified direction by contact between the supporting contact part and the rotation contact part; and an attachment member that is attached to the supporting body and includes an attachment contact part which makes contact with the rotatable body rotating in the specified direction to prevent the contact of the rotation contact part with the supporting contact part.

Liquid-level detection device

A fuel level detecting device has a first locking mechanism including a locking member, clamping portions for clamping a mounting surface, and pawl arms which are on a body of the device. A slit and engagement portions are provided on the mounting face of the mounting member, which acts as a second locking mechanism. The thickness of the locking member is equal to or slightly larger than the width of the slit, and the gap between a clamping portion and a contact face is equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the mounting face. The body is mounted to the mounting member when the locking member is inserted into the slit. This ensures the fuel detecting device to be mounted without play and disconnection thereof even when vibration occurs.
