An electrical connector is provided and includes a housing and a contact. The housing includes a retention wall with a contact receiving passageway. The contact is secured in the contact receiving passageway and includes a front press fitting section and a rear press fitting section positioned rearward of the front press fitting section by a pitch.

Electrical connector with press fitting contacts

An electrical connector is disclosed having a housing and a female terminal. The housing has an assembly receiving space. The female terminal is positioned in the assembly receiving space and has a first female terminal, a second female terminal, and an elastic connecting spring. The first female terminal has a first contact receiving space. The second female terminal has a second contact receiving space and is independently displaceable relative to the first female terminal along a longitudinal axis. The elastic connecting spring connects the first female terminal to the second female terminal.

Electrical connector and female terminal

The invention provides a wire cover, a wiring method and an electrical connector that can ensure routing of wires even in a limited space. The connector includes a housing, a lever, and a wire cover. The lever is mounted to the housing, and the wire cover is mounted to a side of a back surface of the housing. The wire cover includes a cover body, a wire routing passageway, and a hood portion. The cover body includes a plurality of wire receiving passageways positioned in one direction, while the wire routing passageway is directed into an inside of the cover body. The hood portion protrudes from a circumference of the wire routing passageway and provides a leading direction out of the wire routing passageway. The hood portion extends in a direction other than a direction of extension from a front surface and the back surface of the cover body.

Wire cover, wiring method of wires and electrical connector

An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector includes a comprising a first housing, a second housing removably fittable to the first housing, and a lock block disposed on the second housing and engageable with the first housing to secure the second housing at a predetermined position with the first housing. The lock block includes a first groove extending along a length of the lock block, a side portion in contact with the first groove, an end portion in contact with the first groove and orthogonal to the side portion, a side lock disposed on the side portion and securable with the first housing, and a first lock that is provided integrally with the end portion and secured to the first housing.

Electrical connector

A connector member that is improved in durability and reliability by preventing fracture of hinges of a retainer and can be smoothly mated with a mating connector. The connector member having a lance housing. a connector housing, and the retainer. The lance housing includes a plurality of terminal receiving slots, a recess disposed at a rear of the plurality of terminal receiving slots and in a portion of the lance housing near a rear surface thereof, and a pair of guide walls positioned opposite each other along a top surface of the lance housing. The connector housing includes a housing recess opening at one side for housing the lance housing. The retainer is fitted into the recess of the lance housing and swingably connected to the lance housing by a hinge.

Electrical connector member

A wire cover has a cover body, a wire routing passageway and a hood. The cover body includes a plurality of wire receiving passageways positioned in one direction. The wire routing passageway is directed into an inside of the cover body. The hood protrudes from a circumference of the wire routing passageway and controls a leading direction out of the wire routing passageway wherein the hood has a different thicknesses between a base on a side of the cover body and a tip on another side of the cover body.

An electrical connector assembly having a first connector comprising a first housing comprising a complementary connector receiving concavity, a first contact attached to the first housing, a first connector projection, and a first connector concavity, a complementary connector that mates with the first connector comprising a complementary housing received by the complementary connector receiving concavity, the complementary housing comprising a complementary contact attached to the complementary housing, a groove, and a side projection, where displacement of the complementary housing with respect to the first housing in a vertical direction is restricted by the first connector projection being received in the groove and by the side projection being received in the first connector concavity is disclosed.

Electrical connector assembly

An electrical connector includes a housing having opposing upper and lower surfaces and opposing rear and front surfaces. The housing has a recessed member provided with a plurality of contacts arranged in at least one row that extend from the rear surface toward the front surface of the housing. A lance block is inserted into the housing from the bottom surface. The lance block has elastic lances corresponding to the contacts that engage the contacts to primarily lock the contacts in the housing. A side retainer is inserted into the housing from the bottom surface. The side retainer presses the lance block toward the front surface when the side retainer is moved from a temporary locking position into a main locking position to lock the lance block in the housing. The side retainer secondarily locks the contacts in the housing in the main locking position.

A receptacle terminal includes a contact section. The contact section includes a substantially L-shaped contact spring, a first protection member, and a second protection member. The contact spring includes a link arm and a contact arm. The link arm has a first edge and a second edge opposite the first edge. The first edge extends in a mating direction of a mating terminal. The contact arm extends along the first edge and has a tip end portion connected to the first edge. The first protection member has a first link arm protection member opposing the second edge. The second protection member has a second link arm protection member opposing the first edge. The receptacle terminal thereby ensures protection of the contact spring and necessary contact pressure between the receptacle terminal and a mating terminal while having a small external size.

Receptacle terminal

A wire cover for an electrical connector that defines the direction in which a plurality of wires is led out of the electrical connector comprises a main body having side walls. At least one of the side walls has an interference member receiving recess. An elastic engaging member extends from a lower edge of at least one of the side walls. The elastic engaging member has an elastic tongue member bent upwards from the lower edge such that a gap is formed between the elastic tongue member and the side wall. An interfering member extends from the elastic engaging member and into the interference member receiving recess when the elastic engaging member is flexed. The interfering member substantially covers the gap. An electrical connector engaging protrusion extends from the elastic engaging member and engages the electrical connector.

Wire cover for connectors

A wire connector for connecting wires to each other having a small wire collection space and which transmits a small shock load to the wires connected therein is formed by bending a metal plate at both sides of a central portion to form a closed ring having open ends at both ends thereof. Depressions that protrude toward the interior of the closed ring so that they approach each other are formed at the central portions of both side walls of the closed ring. A vertically extending slot is formed in each of the side walls. Wires are inserted through each of the open ends and the slots, then pressure is applied so that the portion where the ends of the bent metal plate are coupled and the central portion approach each other. The pressure compressively deforms the connector, and the wires are electrical connected to each other.
