An electromagnetic absorber () for a vehicle including (a) a threaded rod () which is disposed on one of a sprung portion and an unsprung portion and which has a threaded groove () formed in its outer circumferential portion and an axial groove () extending in its axis direction (b) a nut () which is rotatably disposed on the other of the sprung portion and the unsprung portion and which is screwed with the threaded rod and (c) a rod-rotation inhibiting member () which includes a fitting portion configured to be fitted in the axial groove and which is disposed on the other of the sprung portion and the unsprung portion, the rod-rotation inhibiting member being configured to inhibit the threaded rod from rotating while permitting the threaded rod to move in the axis direction. In the electromagnetic absorber, the threaded groove is not formed at a section of a fitting range at which the fitting portion is fitted in the axial groove when the fitting portion is located at an end of the fitting range that extends in the axis direction on the outer circumferential portion of the threaded rod.

A ball screw unit includes a screw shaft that includes a screw groove, a ball screw nut that is screwed to the screw shaft via balls and that rotates to move the screw shaft linearly in an axial direction of the screw shaft, a hollow shaft that rotates together with the ball screw nut, a housing that rotatably supports the hollow shaft via a rolling bearing, and an elastic member that is provided at a position between the rolling bearing and the housing.

Ball screw unit

A ball screw includes a screw shaft, in which a thread groove is formed in an outer peripheral face thereof, that includes a small-diameter portion with a diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the screw shaft formed integrally at one end of the screw shaft; a nut, through which the screw shaft passes, having a thread groove formed in an inner peripheral face thereof; a plurality of balls disposed in a ball passage formed by the thread groove of the screw shaft and the thread groove of the nut; and a ring-shaped stopper, immovably fitted on the small-diameter portion, that prevents the nut from moving.

Ball screw

A disc spring is provided between a ball screw nut and a hollow shaft, and another disc spring is provided between rolling bearings and a housing. When leftward motion of a screw shaft is stopped and a rotational inertia force is applied to the ball screw nut, these disc springs allow the ball screw nut to rotate to a certain degree.

A vehicle bearing assembly includes a sensor mounting hole provided in a cover of an outer ring member; a rotational speed sensor that is inserted in the sensor mounting hole; and an O-ring disposed between an inner peripheral surface of the sensor mounting hole and an outer peripheral surface of the rotational speed sensor. A chamfered portion is formed along the edge of the opening of the sensor mounting hole on the outer face of the cover. A chamfer edge portion as the boundary between the inner peripheral surface of the sensor mounting hole and the chamfered portion has a depth in the axial direction.

Vehicle bearing assembly

A hub unit is configured such that nitrogen gas, which functions as inert gas, is filled in a rolling element arranging space which is defined by an inner circumferential surface of an outer ring and an outer circumferential surface of a hub body for arranging rolling elements therein in such a manner as to be sealed therein in a semi-hermetically closed state by a seal member and a cover, so as to prevent the nitrogen gas from flowing out to an exterior space. The seal member, which is provided at an end portion of the rolling element arranging space which end lies on a vehicle-outer side, is formed as an elastic seal element, and is fixed to the outer ring at one end whereas being secured to the hub body at the other end thereof while being elastically deformed, whereby the seal member has a function to prevent the intrusion of water from the exterior space into the rolling element arranging space. This seal member prevents the inert gas filled in the rolling element arranging space from flowing out to the outside.

Hub unit, hub unit manufacturing method and hub unit transporting method

A housing has a screw shaft passing wall in which a through hole, through which a screw shaft passes, is formed. A spline outer cylinder is held at one end by the screw shaft passing wall, and a disc spring that biases the spline outer cylinder toward the screw shaft passing wall is arranged at the other end of the spline outer cylinder. A tapered recess is formed in one end face of the spline outer cylinder, and a tapered projection that is fitted in the tapered recess is formed in a face of the screw shaft passing wall of the housing, which faces the spline outer cylinder.

A magnetized pulsar ring of the invention is a pulsar ring fixed to an outer peripheral surface of a supporting member and including a ring body in which a number of magnetic poles are at predetermined intervals in a peripheral direction. The ring bodyis formed of a plastic magnet, and has a cushion member made of an elastic body that is interposed between the ring body and the outer peripheral surface.

A rolling bearing unit includes a resin-made cover attached at the opening of the vehicle inward side edge section of an outer ring. The cover includes a cylindrical portion which is fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the opening of the vehicle inward side edge section of the outer ring. A metal ring body is provided at the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion.

Rolling bearing unit

Balls are interposed between respective raceway surfaces of inner and outer ring members, and a seal apparatus is provided between shoulder portions of the inner and outer ring members. The seal apparatus comprises an outer ring-side seal ring fixed to the outer ring member, and an inner ring-side seal ring fixed to the inner ring member. A pulser ring is fixed to a ring-shaped core metal of the inner ring-side seal ring. In an outer diameter side of the ring-shaped core metal of the outer ring-side seal ring, a magnetic sensor is molded with resin by an external member to be integrated therein. A connector connected to the magnetic sensor is formed consecutive with the external member.

A wheel speed detector for detecting a relative rotating speed between an outer ring and an inner ring by means of a magnetic sensor in association with a magnetic ring. A stationary seal member is fixed to the stationary ring and a rotatable seal member is fixed to the rotatable ring. The seal members engage to seal a gap between the inner ring and the outer ring. The magnetic sensor is fixed to a radial inner surface of the stationary seal member and the magnetic ring is fixed to a radial outer or a radial inner surface of the rotatable seal member and surfaces of the magnetic ring other than that fixed to the radial inner surface of the rotatable seal member are covered with a seal lip.

Wheel speed detector having stationary seal member for mounting magnetic sensor

A vehicle-use bearing device having a double row rolling bearing fitted around an outer peripheral surface of a hollow shaft portion of a hub wheel, wherein a held portion between an axially intermediate position and a vehicle outer side in the hollow shaft portion of the hub wheel is axially held between the axially intermediate position of an outer ring shaft portion of a constant velocity joint and the vehicle outer side so that a cup-shaped cylindrical portion of an outer ring of the constant velocity joint is free of contact with a caulked portion in the hollow shaft portion of the hub wheel at the shaft end on the vehicle inner side in order to connect the hub wheel with the constant velocity joint without a clearance, whereby an excessive preload which can affect a rolling performance of the double row rolling bearing is not imparted on the bearing.

This wheel speed detector is constructed of a magnetic sensor and a magnetic ring and is integrated with the inside of a seal device. The magnetic ring constitutes a part (core bar) of the seal device. This arrangement can enable the compacting and reduction in the number of components and improve space saving and assembling workability.

Compact wheel speed detector capable of saving space and improving workability

In a construction in which a double row rolling bearing and a constant velocity joint are mounted to a hub wheel, a fixing ring fixedly mounted to a vehicle-outer side opening of the hub wheel is sandwiched between a vehicle-outer side end face of an outer ring shaft of the constant velocity joint and a bolt integrally mounted to the shaft in the axial direction, thereby coupling the outer ring of the constant velocity joint to the hub wheel. In this case, a simple coupling operation only for mounting the bolt to the shaft suffices, and a pre-load that has been applied to the rolling bearing is maintained invariably.
