An electronic timepiece having a multi-digit display of time data and a plurality of frequency divider circuits which generates time data, which comprises operation testing and time correcting means including at least two test terminals, and also a manually operable selecting switch and a manually operable correcting switch. The electronic timepiece also comprises a circuit means which is arranged such that varying combinations of logic level voltages applied to the test terminals can be utilized to test various modes of operation of the frequency divider circuits, a part of such testing being accomplished in conjunction with a signal of relatively high frequency applied to a terminal of one of the manually operable switches.

Electronic timepiece and method for testing operation of the same

An electronic timepiece including an optical display for both the time and the alarm time setting, an audible alarm, an alarm circuit, an optical display to indicate the state of operation of the alarm circuit, and a means for determining in advance whether the alarm circuit will be operated only once or every time the alarm time setting coincides with the time. Furthermore, the single optical time display is shared to indicate the time and to indicate the alarm time setting while the alarm time is being set. Also, the optical display to indicate the state of operation of the alarm circuit indicates if an alarm setting has been made and whether the alarm setting will occur only once or repetitively.

Electronic optical display alarm timepiece

An adjustable circuit for an electronic timepiece including a crystal oscillator, a frequency divider circuit, a display and a controlable means for increasing and decreasing the output frequency of the frequency divider circuit. The increasing and decreasing means includes a digital adder and a digital subtractor and a plurality of controlable gates for enabling the digital adder or subtractor to increase or decrease the output frequency of the frequency divider.

Adjustable circuit for an electronic timepiece

An integrated circuit package structure wherein electrodes of an integrated circiut chip are directly bonded to metal lead members within the package. A portion of the substrate is enclosed inside the package to support the package. Holes are provided on the substrate for positioning and securing the package to the substrate. The substrate has a generally rectangular opening disposed therethrough arranged and configured to receive an integrated circuit chip and at least two additional openings disposed in said substrate so as to form at least two support arms adjacent to the rectangular opening. The integrated circuit package has a top member, a bottom member and a circuit chip. The circuit chip has a plurality of electrodes disposed thereon in a predetermined configuration for selectively coupling the lead members which are disposed on the substrate. By the use of the integrated circuit package structure of the present invention, circuit packages may be securely and easily coupled to a substrate and held in position.

Structure for packaging integrated circuits

A switch mechanism for an electronic timepiece which makes use of an electro-optical display element. The switch mechanism serves to effect erasure, correction and the like of the display and comprises an exteriorly operated member provided in its axial direction with a plurality of stable positions and rotatable about its axis at the stable positions and provided in its rotating sense with stable positions. An erasing switch is provided for erasing the display at the stable positions when the exteriorly operated member is rotated at one of the stable positions in its axial direction. A correction switch corrects the display at the stable position when said exteriorly operated member is rotated at at least one other stable position in its axial direction.

Switch mechanism for electronic timepiece

An electronic wristwatch with an electronic sound emitter device which provides greatly improved efficiency in the quality and quantity of the sound emitted with a minimum number of elements. The results, in general, are obtained by arranging the elements in such a manner that a suitable signal is presented to the sound emitter driving device upon the coincidence of a preset time and the time given by a time display device.
