The gear housing including a wheel housing section, a worm housing section, and a one side rib that protrudes from a side surface on one side in the axial direction of a bottom portion for wheel of the wheel housing section and connects a fitting tubular portion for wheel of the wheel housing section and a fitting tubular portion for worm on one side in the axial direction of the worm housing section into which a bearing for worm or a bearing holder holding the bearing for worm is internally fitted.

Gear housing and electric assist device

A steering column has a cylindrical front-side column and a cylindrical rear-side column having a front-end portion that is connected to a rear-end portion of the front-side column. The steering shaft has a front-side shaft rotatably supported inside the front-side column, a rear-side shaft rotatably supported inside the rear-side column and has a rear-end portion to which the steering wheel is attached, and a universal joint connecting the rear-end portion of the front-side shaft and the front-end portion of the rear-side shaft. The front-end portion of the front-side column is always arranged above a portion of the extension line of the center axis of the rear-side column which exists at the same location in the front-rear direction as the front-end portion.

Steering device

An electrically adjustable steering device includes a top bracket fixed to a vehicle body, a steering shaft to which a steering wheel is connected, a steering jacket which is held by the top bracket and rotatably supports the steering shaft inside, a tilt actuator which adjusts a tilt of the steering jacket, and a link member which is pivotably supported by the top bracket, the steering jacket, and the tilt actuator. The tilt of the steering jacket can be adjusted by transmitting power of the tilt actuator to the steering jacket via the link member. The link member is placed only on one side of the steering jacket in a vehicle left-right direction.

Electric steering device

The torque transmission joint includes an intermediate transmission member, and a first transmission member and a second transmission member that are arranged with one each on both side sections in the axial direction of the intermediate transmission member, with the outer side sections in the radial direction of each engaging with the inside section in the radial direction of the intermediate transmission member. The first transmission member and the second transmission member have a first preliminary engagement section and a second preliminary engagement section at the end sections in the axial direction on sides close to each other. The first preliminary engagement section and the second preliminary engagement section engage with each other with a circumferential gap interposed therebetween that does not disappear when torque transmission is performed between the first transmission member and the second transmission member via the intermediate transmission member.

Torque transmission joint and electric power steering device

A steering jacket includes a first jacket member and a second jacket member in this order from a side proximal to a steering wheel, and the first jacket member and the second jacket member overlap each other such that the steering jacket is extendable and retractable in an axial direction. An actuator is connected to an extension bracket that is attached to an outer surface of the first jacket member and extends toward the front of a vehicle body, so as to extend and retract the first jacket member with respect to the second jacket member.

Electrically adjustable steering column

An interface structure includes a sleeve, a wedge and a biasing member. The sleeve is arranged between the inner circumferential surface of the outer tube and the outer circumferential surface of the inner tube. The sleeve includes at least one fixing portion fixed to a first tube that is one of the outer tube and the inner tube, at least one contact surface configured to come into contact with a second tube that is the other of the outer tube and the inner tube, and a wedge mating surface configured to be mated with the wedge. The wedge is arranged between the first tube and the sleeve and is mated with the wedge mating surface of the sleeve. The biasing member biases the wedge so as to engage the wedge between the first tube and the sleeve while allowing the sleeve and the second tube to slide on each other.

Telescopic structure and steering column

In an electrically adjustable steering of the present embodiment, a first telescopic actuator is disposed between a top bracket or a mount bracket on a vehicle body side and a steering jacket. The steering jacket includes a plurality of jacket members that overlap each other so as to be able to expand and contract in an axial direction. A motor of the first telescopic actuator is fixed to the top bracket or the mount bracket on the vehicle body side.

Electrically adjustable steering

The position adjustment mechanism is configured to perform a storage operation of storing the steering wheel in a storage position to secure a space in a driver seat for a driver and an adjustment operation of adjusting the steering wheel to a position suitable for driving within an adjustment operation range. The motor control unit is configured to drive the electric motor such that a speed of the steering wheel during the storage operation is higher than a speed of the steering wheel during the adjustment operation.

A steering section of a steer-by-wire system includes a handle having a center axis of rotation arranged in the front-rear direction, and a handle-support shaft having a center axis arranged in the front-rear direction and that is supported so as not to be able to rotate about the center axis with respect to the vehicle. The handle is rotatably supported so as to be able to rotate about the center axis of rotation with respect to the rear-end portion of the handle-support shaft. The center axis of the handle-support shaft is arranged so as to be offset upward with respect to the center axis of rotation of the handle.

Steering section for steer-by-wire system

A steering apparatus having inner and outer columns. The outer column includes a pair of side plate sections respectively extending in the axial direction, located on both sides in the width direction of the inner column, and has a column-side through hole that passes through in the width direction on one side of the inner column with respect to the height direction in a part in the axial direction thereof, and a column pressing section provided in at least one of the pair of plate sections and able to press the inner column in a direction away from the column-side through holes with respect to the height direction when displaced inward in the width direction, and a widening section in at least one of the pair of plate sections and pressed outward in the width direction via the inner column that is pressed by the column pressing sections.

Outer column and steering apparatus

Reinforcing ribs (and) are provided between mounting plate parts (and) and support plate parts (and) forming a support bracket (). Side plate parts (and) forming a distance bracket () are disposed between the support plate parts (and), and an outer column (). When an adjustment lever () is operated to hold a steering wheel at a position after adjustment, a steering column () is pushed toward an upper side by column pressing parts (and) provided at the side plate parts (and), and, therefore, a pair of widened parts (and) provided at upper parts of the side plate parts (and) are pushed and expanded to the outside in a width direction. The widened parts (and) are sandwiched between the support plate parts (and) and the outer column ().

A portion of the target guide plate interposed between the rolling surface of each ball and an inner surface of the sub-concave groove is supported at the other radial surface opposite to the rolling surface of each ball by the inner surface of the sub-concave groove at a state where one radial surface facing towards the rolling surface of each ball is pressed by the rolling surface of each ball and is thus curved along the rolling surface of each ball.

Telescopic rotation transmission shaft and method for producing same

Non-circular portions () are provided in two positions of an adjusting rod () in an axial direction, and the non-circular portions () are disposed inside of telescopic-adjusting long holes () of a displacement bracket (). Up-down-direction clearances (and) which are present between opposite edges of each of the non-circular portions () in an up-down direction and inner surfaces of each of the telescopic-adjusting long holes () in the up-down direction in a state where a position of a steering wheel can be maintained are less than up-down-direction clearances (and) which are present between the opposite edges of each of the non-circular portions () in the up-down direction and the inner surfaces of each of the telescopic-adjusting long holes () in the up-down direction in a state where the position of the steering wheel can be adjusted.

Position adjustment device for steering wheel

In a clamped state where the interval between both the pressing parts is reduced and both the clamped plate parts are clamped by both the support plate parts, vertical distances from an outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to an upper surface and a lower surface of an inner surface of one through-hole of both the through-holes are different, vertical distances from the outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to an upper surface and a lower surface of an inner surface of the other through-hole of both the through-holes are different, and sides, where the vertical distance from the outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to the inner surface is smaller, are on opposite sides with respect to the vertical direction in one through-hole and the other through-hole.
