Disclosed is a metal-rubber laminate material comprising a metal plate, a rubber layer formed on the surface of the metal plate, and a solid lubricant layer formed on the rubber layer, the solid lubricant layer comprising an isocyanate group-containing urethane prepolymer, a synthetic wax having a softening point of 40 to 150&#xb0; C., a fatty acid amide having a softening point of 60 to 170&#xb0; C., graphite, and optionally a fluororesin. The metal-rubber laminate material, in which the metal plate and the rubber layer are bonded through a primer layer and an adhesive layer in this order, exhibits excellent effects, such as fretting resistance, when used as a metal gasket in an internal combustion engine for an automobile engine, etc.

Metal-rubber laminate material

An aqueous surface-treating agent, which comprises a silicone oil aqueous emulsion, a polyurethane resin aqueous emulsion, and a silane compound represented by the following general formula (where Rand Reach are an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and n and m are 1&#x2266;n&#x2266;3 and m=3&#xb7;n, respectively), and/or a hydrolyzate thereof, wherein 100 parts by weight or more of the polyurethane resin in terms of the weight of solid matters is used on the basis of 100 parts by weight in terms of nonvolatile matters of silicone oil, can prevent sticking of rubber seal materials such as O rings, etc. themselves or sticking to a metal, a resin, etc., and can reduce the friction of rubber or resin seal members at the time of sliding motion.

Aqueous surface-treating agent

Disclosed is a rubber composition containing 100 parts by weight of a rubber blend comprising 99-85 by weight % of chloroprene rubber and 1-15 by weight % of chlorinated polyethylene rubber, (A) 10 to 30 parts by weight of a polyether ester-based plasticizer having a molecular weight of 450 to 650, or (B) 10 to 30 parts by weight of both of a polyether ester-based plasticizer having a molecular weight of 450 to 900 and an ester-based plasticizer having a molecular weight 350 to 500, and 3 to 10 parts by weight of two or more aromatic amine-based antioxidants. The rubber composition can simultaneously satisfy requirements for use as, for example, an automobile grease cup material, that is, heat resistance, ozone resistance, cold resistance, and adhesion to metal or resin.

Rubber composition

A high-performance gasket () capable of coping with a reduction in size and developing a sealing property without producing a squeeze-out at the time of attachment and using a material having a hardness range of 30 to 80 degrees (JIS durometer type A), wherein the requirement of W/W&#x3c;0.9 is satisfied where the bonding width of a base part () is (W) and the width thereof at a position half a height from the bonding part of the base part () to the tip end of a main bead part () is (W), the requirement of 1.15&#x3c;H/W&#x3c;1.80 is satisfied where the height from the bonding part of the base part () to the tip end of the main bead part () is (H), the requirement of L/W&#x3e;=3 is satisfied where the length of the non-bonded portion of the base part () around the cross-section thereof excluding the bonded portion is (L), and the compressibility of the gasket when compressed is 13.5% or higher.

Gasket

A fluoroelastomer composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of vinylidene fluoride-perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether)-tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer or vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropene copolymer, and 10-50 parts by weight of liquid fluoroelastomer having a viscosity of 500 to 3,000 cps at 100&#xb0; C., can be made cross-linkable or vulcanizable fluoroelastomer composition upon further addition of 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of an organic peroxide and 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional unsaturated compound or further addition of 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a polyol-based vulcanizing agent thereto. The fluoroelastomer composition can give a cross-linked or vulcanized product having a hardness (Durometer A) of not more than 50 and distinguished processability and compression set resistance characteristics.

Fluoroelastomer composition

A fluoroelastomer composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of vinylidene fluoride-perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether)-tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer or vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropene copolymer, and 10&#x2013;50 parts by weight of liquid fluoroelastomer having a viscosity of 500 to 3,000 cps at 100&#xb0; C., can be made cross-linkable or vulcanizable fluoroelastomer composition upon further addition of 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of an organic peroxide and 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a polyfunctional unsaturated compound or further addition of 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a polyol-based vulcanizing agent thereto. The fluoroelastomer composition can give a cross-linked or vulcanized product having a hardness (Durometer A) of not more than 50 and distinguished processability and compression set resistance characteristics.

A hard disc drive cover-integrated gasket, which comprises a metallic cover and a packing material integrated with the metallic cover, the packing material being a molding material from a mixture comprising 100 parts by weight of EPDM or a blend of EPDM and polystyrene type thermoplastic elastomer, 10&#x2013;100 parts by weight of polypropylene type resin, 20&#x2013;130 parts by weight of a plasticizer and 0.1&#x2013;10 parts by weight of a cross-linking agent is easy to fabricate and has distinguished characteristics as low outgassing characteristics, low hardness, good sealability at elevated temperatures, etc.

Hard disc drive cover-integrated gasket

A protruding part formed on one split end part of a boot is temporarily fixed to a recessed part formed on the other split end part in the state where step-shaped hook portions formed on one-end thereof are engagingly locked to each other, and connected by welding, fusion or adhesion. The protruding part is hooked only in one thickness directional side. An overlapping protruding part formed on the non-hook side (inner side) of the recessed part is connected extending over the inside surface of the protruding part and the inside surface of the split end part continued thereto.

A resin composition for automobile constant velocity joint boots having a surface hardness (Shore-D) of 34.about.44, and obtainable by melt mixing as essential components: 100 parts by weight of polyester elastomer (A); and, for every 100 parts by weight of said polyester elastomer (A), 0.05.about.7.0 parts by weight of organic polyisocyanate compound (B); and 0.1.about.5.0 parts by weight of silicone compound (C). A molded automobile constant velocity joint boot molded therefrom is superior in abrasion resistance, and flexibility.
