If road information indicates that a first curve zone at a near side and a second curve zone at a far side that curve in different directions are continuously located in a road, a steering assist unit of a steering assist device or a steering assist circuit finishes decreasing process of decreasing the steering assist amount when the subject vehicle passes through the first curve zone earlier than a case when the subject vehicle passes through the second curve zone.

Steering assist device and circuit

A vehicle drive control device includes a drive lane detector, a drive assist unit, and a curve road steering assist unit. The drive lane detector detects a drive lane of a subject vehicle. The drive assist unit performs drive assist control to assist the subject vehicle in lane keep driving in the drive lane. The curve road steering assist unit performs steering assist for assisting the subject vehicle in turning along a curve of a curve road if the drive lane is the curve road and if the drive assist control performed by the drive assist unit is discontinued during driving on the curve road.

Vehicle drive control device

A steering control unit performs lane keeping control to cause a steering system to operate to reduce a distance between a width-direction center position of a lane and a position where the vehicle is traveling in the lane on the basis of a recognized state of the lane obtained by a lane recognizing unit. A road condition determining unit determines whether the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a straight road. A lane keeping responsivity setting unit sets, when it is determined by the road condition determining unit that the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a straight road, responsivity of the lane keeping control to the distance to be lower than responsivity set when it is determined that the road on which the vehicle is traveling is not a straight road.

Vehicle control device

A vehicle steering system can keep the comfort of steering feeling for a driver, even in a situation, such as traveling on a cant road or in a crosswind, where a unidirectional-drift behavior of a vehicle occurs, and includes an electric motor, a steering angle sensor, a steering torque sensor, and an EPS_ECU that controls driving power of the electric motor, when the vehicle is traveling straight, based on vehicle information including a steering torque and a steering angle, to perform a control for applying an assist torque to a steering system. The EPS_ECU includes an integrating unit for calculating an integrated torque value obtained by integrating the steering torque, and a steering effort assist controlling unit for performing an anti-unidirectional-drift control over the driving power of the electric motor, when the integrated torque value exceeds the threshold value, so as to cancel the unidirectional-drift behavior of the vehicle.

Vehicle steering system

It is determined whether or not a vehicle is in a first vehicle state based on a detected steering torque and a detected yaw rate (step S), one-side pull is decided if the yaw rate is within a range from 2 deg/sec to 10 deg/sec (step S) for 1 second which is a first predetermined time (step S) since an absolute value of the steering torque becomes 20 Nm or larger in the first vehicle state (step S), then a target current value (one-side response) is generated.

Vehicle steering device

A vehicle steering device including a steering torque detection unit that detects a steering torque, the vehicle steering device controlling an electric current value, which is applied to an electric motor, and applying an assist torque to a steering system based on the steering torque, includes a one-side pull response control unit that detects one-side pull generated at a vehicle, and corrects the current value to restrict the one-side pull. One-side pull response control is restricted or inhibited for a predetermined time after the vehicle ends a turn.

The present invention provides a vehicle steering device, comprising: a manual steering means for manually steering steerable wheels in a vehicle; a steering-torque detection means for detecting a steering torque applied to the manual steering means; a first electromotive-torque determination means for determining a first electromotive-torque value based on the detected steering torque; a vehicle-behavior detection means for detecting behavior of the vehicle; a second electromotive-torque determination means for determining a second electromotive-torque value based on a detected value obtained by the vehicle-behavior detection means; an electric motor for applying a combined electromotive torque to the steerable wheels; and a current control means for controlling current supplied to the electric motor based on a value of the combined electromotive torque obtained by adding the first electromotive-torque value to the second electromotive-torque value.

An electric power steering apparatus includes an electric motor configured to apply an assist torque to an steering system of a motor vehicle, a rotational quantity detection unit for detecting a rotational quantity of the electric motor while the rotational quantity detection unit is in a wake-up state, and a counter electromotive voltage detection unit for detecting a counter electromotive voltage of the electric motor. When a main power supply of the electric power steering apparatus is turned off, the rotational quantity detection unit enters into a sleep state, and when a prescribed condition is established based on the counter electromotive voltage detected by the counter electromotive voltage detection unit, the rotational quantity detection unit transitions from the sleep state to the wakeup state.

Electric power steering apparatus

An electric power-assist steering system that provides a steering assist control in accordance with the steering angle right after the idle stop to reduce an unpleasant steering feeling and is installed in a vehicle having an idle stop mechanism (engine controller) that automatically performs an idle stop operation in a predetermined condition. The electric power-assist steering system includes a torque sensor, a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angle relative to a midpoint of a steering angle that is learned, an electric motor whose assist force is controlled based on the steering torque and the steering angle, and a resolver for detecting a rotational angle of the electric motor. A steering angle right after the idle stop is determined based on the steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor right before the idle stop and variation in the rotational angle detected by the resolver during the idle stop.
