An electric compressor mounted to a vehicle includes a motor, a compression unit driven by the motor, an inverter unit for driving the motor, a housing for accommodating the motor, the compression unit, and the inverter unit, and a cover mounted to the housing for closing a space accommodating the inverter unit. The electric compressor is fixed to the vehicle by means of a first mounting leg provided to the housing, and a second mounting leg provided to the cover. The second mounting leg includes a stress concentration part at which stress concentrates as compared with another portion of the second mounting leg.

A scroll compressor includes a back pressure chamber oil-feeding path for feeding lubricating oil from a high-pressure region to a back pressure chamber, and a compression chamber oil-feeding path for feeding lubricating oil from the back pressure chamber to a compression chamber. One phase in which the back pressure chamber oil-feeding path is communicated from the high-pressure region to the back pressure chamber and another phase in which the compression chamber oil-feeding path is communicated from the back pressure chamber to the compression chamber are shifted from each other, so that the back pressure chamber oil-feeding path and the compression chamber oil-feeding path are never put into the communicating state simultaneously. Thus, after a halt of the compressor, under-communication oil-feeding of the lubricating oil from the high-pressure region via the back pressure chamber to the compression chamber can be prevented.

The present invention provides a scroll compressor in which the reliabilities of the eccentric ball bearing and the main ball bearing are enhanced by controlling an amount of oil supplied from the high pressure region to the back pressure chamber and an amount of oil from the high pressure region to the eccentric ball bearing and the main ball bearing. The scroll compressor includes a back pressure chamber oil-supply paththrough which lubricating oilis supplied from the high pressure regionto the back pressure chamber, and a compression chamber oil-supply paththrough which lubricating oilis supplied from the back pressure chamberto the compression chamber, and the one openingof the back pressure chamber oil-supply pathreciprocates, and comes into and comes out from the sealing member

Lubrication of a scroll compressor

A refrigerant go-around passage is provided in a housing of a compressor. The passage takes in refrigerant discharged from a compression mechanism into the housing, makes the refrigerant go around an axial line of the compressor and finally returns the refrigerant to the discharge-port side of the housing while separating liquid contained in the refrigerant from the refrigerant by centrifugation or by centrifugation and collision. In the mid portion of the refrigerant go-around passage, a liquid returning port is provided for returning the separated liquid to the housing in such a manner that the liquid returning port has an orientation that has a component in a direction of gravity and that is deviated from a traveling direction of the refrigerant.

Compressor and mechanism for separating lubricating liquid

Lubricating liquid fed from a reservoir to a compression mechanism is collected by a circumferential wall that surrounds the drive shaft of the compression mechanism and rotates synchronously with it immediately after liquid is discharged into the space inside the housing with or without compressed fluid. Liquid is then urged outward under centrifugal force from an outlet formed at a preset axial location of the circumferential wall. Exiting liquid is received by a fixed liquid return cover that surrounds the circumferential wall near its outlet and led back to the reservoir.

Liquid recovery method and system for compression mechanism

An installation flange of a terminal along with a sealing member is pressed between a connection opening and an independent member engaged with the connection opening. The connection opening may be part of the terminal, and is provided on a part of a container. Consequently, the installation flange is fixed, and the connection opening is sealed. The terminal with an iron flange can be attached to an aluminum container without increasing the weight.

In a compressor, an inverter control device that performs an inverter control on an electric motor is integrally provided on a body portion of a container which houses a compression mechanism and the electric motor which are axially arranged in a line. The inverter control device is connected to the electric motor to shorten the distance of wiring from the inverter device to the motor to allow the reduction in weight, the reduction in a space to be required for the installation, and the reduction in the amount of noise.

Compressor with built-in motor, and mobile structure using the same

A plurality of connection terminals are covered with a housing so that the plurality of connection terminals are collectively treated by handling of the housing. The housing is put over and fitted to a case of a compressor while connecting the connection terminals to connection pins for external wiring through an opening of the housing. With a seal member arranged in between, the opening is pressed against an external face of the case to conduct sealing between them.

A compressor in which an electric motor and a compressing mechanism are accommodated in a case, a main shaft and an auxiliary shaft of a rotating shaft of the motor are supported by a radial plain bearing and a rolling bearing with a predetermined clearance given to the rotating shaft in an axial direction, a flange portion that contacts with a main-shaft receiving member of the radial plain bearing to align the rotating shaft with the compressing mechanism is provided on the main shaft, and preload toward the side of the rolling bearing is given to the rotating shaft. In this constitution, a prevention member for preventing contact and/or collision of the rotating shaft with the main-shaft receiving member is provided between opposing faces of the flange portion and the main-shaft receiving member.

A compressor with a built-in electric motor has a compression mechanism and the built-in electric motor which are housed in a container. A suction port, a discharge port, inner and outer electric connection parts, and mounting legs of the container are provided on the same side of a body of the container. A bearing part for supporting an end of a driving shaft for driving the compression mechanism is formed on an end wall integral to -the body of the container, where the end of the driving shaft to be supported by the bearing part is located in the direction opposite to the compression mechanism and the driving shaft is connected to the built-in electric motor. In addition, a pumping mechanism is provided in a pumping chamber opened to an external surface of the end wall and is connected to the end of the driving shaft in the direction opposite to the compression mechanism. The opening of the pumping chamber is closed by a closing member. Thereby, the reduction in size and weight of the compressor with the built-in electric motor is achieved.

Separated seating members are used to mount a compressor onto an engine of a mobile structure. The compressor has a compressing mechanism and an electric motor, which are accommodated in a case, and the separated seating members embrace and fix the case by mutually linking together. Mounting seats provided on the separated seating members are held against the engine, and are mounted by bolts.

A compressor and an electric motor in which their weights are successfully reduced by employing a light-metal conductor wire for a winding, by reducing constituent components of a stator and a rotor of the electric motor, by providing a notch or a hole, and by eliminating the need for components necessary to mount the stator in a housing or a casing.
