A course prediction device () includes a blind spot calculation unit () and a prediction unit (). The blind spot calculation unit () acquires a sensing result sequentially from a sensor which is arranged in a mobile object and which detects whether an object exists, and calculates, based on sensor information, a blind spot area expressing such an area that an object existing therein cannot be detected by the sensor. The blind spot calculation unit () also detects an object entering the blind spot area based on the sensor information. The prediction unit () predicts a course in the blind spot area of the detected object based on the sensing result.

An adaptation status judging unit () judges an adaptation status of a driver to a color. A goal color decision unit () decides a goal color of a display range based on the adaptation status of the driver. An applicable color decision unit () decides an applicable color of a display portion on a screen of a display based on the goal color, the display portion displaying information. In an embodiment, an illuminating device includes a light source, a light source control unit, an estimation unit, a first calculating unit, and a second calculating unit. The light source includes light emitters, each having a different spectral distribution. The light source control unit determines an emission intensity of each of the light emitters. The estimation unit estimates a spectral reflectivity of an object. The first calculating unit calculates a first evaluation value, indicating an adequacy of a color of the object visually perceived, based on the spectral distributions and the spectral reflectivity. The second calculating unit calculates a second evaluation value, indicating how much an influence is given by the illuminating light to factors other than a visual sense. The light source control unit determines the emission intensities by which the first evaluation value and the second evaluation value satisfy a restraint condition determined beforehand.

Illuminating device

According to one embodiment, a first extraction unit extracts a first group of pixels having a specific hue from an input image. A second extraction unit extracts a second group of pixels having large distance from a reference axis on a plane defined by a chroma axis and a luminance axis from the first group. A first transform unit executes a plurality of color-transform processing to the second group and obtains a plurality of third groups of pixels as the second group transformed by each color-transform processing. A reliability calculation unit calculates a reliability of each third group. The reliability is larger when pixels of the third group are more located in shape of a straight line on the plane. A selection unit selects a color-transform processing by which the third group has the largest reliability from the plurality of color-transform processing. A second transform unit executes the color-transform processing to the input image to obtain an output image.

An image display device includes: an image input unit configured to input an image; a content categorizer configured to determine a content category of the image; a database configured to store adjustment items corresponding to each of a plurality of content categories, the adjustment items being related to sensibility words each representing an impression for images; an adjustment item display configured to display the adjustment items corresponding to the content category, the adjustment item being selectable by a user; a receiver configured to receive set values of the adjustment items selected from the user; an image quality parameter calculator configured to calculate image quality parameters in accordance with the set values of the adjustment items; an image processor configured to perform image processing on the image in accordance with the image quality parameters; and an image display configured to display the processed image.
