Provided is a sliding component having a small starting torque during a start operation. In a sliding component which is disposed at a relatively rotating position of a rotating machine and slides relative to the other sliding component, the sliding component is provided with a storage space which is formed on a back surface side of a sliding surface of the sliding component and into which a fluid is introduced and a plurality of through-holes which communicate with the storage space and have openings opened at the sliding surface on a side opposite to the storage space.

Sliding component

An annular sliding component includes a sliding surface provided with a plurality of fluid introduction grooves communicating with a space on the side of a sealing target fluid and introducing the sealing target fluid thereinto and a plurality of inclined grooves extending from a leakage side toward the sealing target fluid and generating a dynamic pressure and the sliding surface of the sliding component is provided with a reverse inclined groove which is provided on the side of the sealing target fluid of the inclined groove, extends in a reverse direction with respect to the inclined groove, and generates a dynamic pressure.

An annular sliding component includes a sliding surface provided with a plurality of fluid introduction grooves communicating with a space on the side of a sealing target fluid and introducing the sealing target fluid and a plurality of inclined grooves extending from a leakage side toward the sealing target fluid and generating a dynamic pressure and the sliding surface of the sliding component is provided with at least a concave portion disposed between adjacent two of the fluid introduction grooves in the circumferential direction.

The seal structure includes a shaft member, a bush having a shaft hole for passing the shaft member, a pressure-receiving member having a facing surface facing an end surface of the bush on one side in the direction of the axis, and an elastic member that presses the bush against the pressure-receiving member from another side in the direction of the axis, in which a first coating layer is formed between an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member and an inner peripheral surface of the shaft hole of the bush, and a second coating layer is formed between the end surface of the bush on one side in the direction of the axis and the facing surface of the pressure-receiving member.

Seal structure

A sliding component includes at least one of a pair of sliding members and provided with: a group of recessed portions including a plurality of recessed portions formed in a sliding surface of the sliding member; and a plurality of hollow portions formed inside the sliding member and out of alignment with the recessed portions in a thickness direction of the sliding member. The sliding member is further provided with the hollow portions disposed so as to generate at least part of a new group of recessed portions until the sliding member is worn by the thickness of deepest one of the recessed portions.

Sliding component and method of manufacturing sliding member

A mechanical seal includes rotating seal ring which rotate with a rotary shaft, stationary seal rings, and an adaptor which holds the stationary seal rings, the adaptor being fixed to a seal cover by bolts. The mechanical seal further includes a plurality of holders brought into contact with the adapter and provided with through holes. A body part of each of the bolts passes through each of the through holes and is screwed into each of threaded holes formed in the seal cover. The plurality of holders being arranged so as to surround the rotary shaft.

Mechanical seal

A mechanical seal includes rotating seal ring which rotate with a rotary shaft, stationary seal rings, and an adaptor which holds the stationary seal rings, the adaptorbeing fixed to a seal cover by bolts. The mechanical seal further includes a plurality of holders brought into contact with the adapter and provided with through holes. A body part of each of the bolts passes through each of the through holes and is screwed into each of threaded holes formed in the seal cover. The plurality of holdersbeing arranged so as to surround the rotary shaft.

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes inclined grooves formed at a sliding surface so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction, the inclined grooves being open on an outer diameter side of the seal ring to generate a drawing pressure. The seal ring further includes supply grooves being open on a sealed fluid side of the seal ring and extending in a radially outward direction toward inner diameter sides of the inclined grooves.

Seal ring

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes multiple static pressure grooves provided at a sliding surface of the seal ring and arranged in a circumferential direction, the static pressure grooves being opened on a sealed fluid side and closed on an outer diameter side, a circumferential length of each of the static pressure grooves being shorter than a radial length of each of the static pressure grooves.

Provided is a seal ring configured so that stable lubrication performance can be provided across a wide range of rotation speed. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes; inclined grooves formed at a sliding surface so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction, the inclined grooves being closed on an outer diameter side thereof and configured to generate a dynamic pressure; and supply grooves opening on a sealed fluid side and communicating with an inner diameter side of the inclined grooves.

Provided is a seal ring configured so that a fluid film can be formed between sliding surfaces across a wide range of rotation speed and configured with high lubricity. A seal ring for sealing a clearance between a rotary shaft and a housing includes, dynamic pressure grooves formed at a sliding surface of the seal ring and having positive pressure generators and negative pressure generators, and static pressure supply paths formed at the sliding surface of the seal ring to extend from an inner diameter side to an outer diameter side and to open on a sealed fluid side. Each of the positive pressure generators, each of the negative pressure generators, and each of the static pressure supply paths are arranged in description order in a circumferential direction of the sliding surface.

In a bellows mechanical seal, a collar attached to a seal ring through a bellows has a restriction piece extending toward at least one of an inner diameter side or an outer diameter side. The bellows mechanical seal includes an adaptor which is attached to the collar, whose axial movement is restricted by the restriction piece, and which extends to the inner diameter side or the outer diameter side over the restriction piece. The collar and the adaptor form at least part of a housing space (S), (S') having the secondary seal housed therein.

A pumping ringproducing an axial flow of sealed flow is secured to a rotary shaftat an axial position different from a rotary ringso that the sealed fluid positioned in the sealed spaceflows along the axial direction of the rotary shaft. A discharge holeis formed on an inner circumferential surface of a seal coverpositioned in the downstream side of the axial flow of the sealed fluid resulting from a rotation of the pumping ring. An inflow holeis formed in the upstream side of the axial flow of the sealed fluid resulting from the rotation of the pumping ring, so that the sealed fluid discharged from the discharge holereturns to the inside of the sealed space from the inflow hole. On the inner circumferential surface of the seal coverprovided with the discharge hole, a baffle memberis provided so that it protrudes radially inward in order to block the flow of the sealed fluid along the rotating direction of a retainerand orient the sealed fluid toward the discharge hole

Shaft seal apparatus

A mechanical seal device capable of preventing a sealing ability from being lowered by the irregular displacement of the seal surface of a sealing ring and by the deterioration of a packing for sealingly fitting the sealing ring by heat generated due to its slidable contact with the sealing ring. The mechanical seal device comprises the rubberlike elastic material annular packing having a joining face fitted peripheral surface (inner peripheral surface) of a stepped hole and an adhesive face on the inner peripheral side of the joining face and having an insertion tip part at its insertion tip inserted into the fitting peripheral surface and the sealing ring for fixing having a fitting surface joined to the adhesive face of the packing, a rear surface fitted to the support face (bottom face) of the stepped hole, and a seal surface on the opposite side of the rear surface. With the rear surface joined to a support surface, a space part is formed between the insertion tip part and the opposite surface thereto on the support surface side. The packing is inserted into the space part to fit the rear surface onto the support face by the elastic force of the packing.

Mechanical seal device

A seal contact surface of a seal lip member and a protruding lip member of an end face seal are separated from each other and frictional heat generated at the seal lip member due to sliding motion is prevented from being transferred to the end face seal for softening the material, thus the seal capability is improved. A protruding lip member () provides a seal by making an angle to a seal surface (B) of a seal ring () in radially outward a direction and a lip portion (A) of a seal lip member () is disposed inside an inner diameter surface (A) of the seal ring () for effecting a seal against a sealing object fluid.
