The present invention relates to a tank cap including a lever member that is constrained from moving to the standing position contrary to the intention of the operator. The tank cap comprises a slide member disposed in the cap body so as to be adjacent to the lever member, and provided with a cam contact portion that is to come into contact with a cam portion of the lever member, and a coil spring disposed between the slide member and the bottom of the cap body. The resilience of the coil spring causes the cam contact portion to press the cam portion and retains the retracted position.

Tank cap

The present invention relates to an oil pump for use in and attached to a device (e.g., chain saw) having an oil-supplied portion requiring an oil supply. An oil pump supplies lubricating oil to a guide groove of a guide bar in such a manner that a plunger having a gear portion meshing with a drive worm provided on a chain saw reciprocally moves in a pump body while rotating. Two guide pins for positioning an oil pump when attaching the oil pump to a chain saw body are provided on an attachment surface of the pump body to the chain saw body. The two guide pins are spaced apart in an axial direction of the plunger, each disposed on a centerline of a transverse cross section of the plunger.

A stratified scavenging two-stroke engine includes a first scavenging passage that extends from a first scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase to a scavenging port that opens to the inside of a cylinder, and a second scavenging passage that branches from the first scavenging passage and extends to a second scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase. An air passage is provided to supply air for pre-scavenging into the first scavenging passage at a position closer to the first scavenging intake than a position at which the second scavenging passage branches from the first scavenging passage. A first check valve inhibits a flow of air from the first scavenging passage during an upward stroke of the piston, and a second check valve inhibits a flow of air and a gaseous mixture from the first scavenging passage during a downward stroke of the piston.

In a chain saw, an operating shaft member axially rotated by a manual operation of a rotating lever is disposed so that an axial direction thereof may be inclined against an attaching surface of a guide bar in which a saw chain is wound around a circumference thereof, a driving bevel gear attached to an end portion of the operating shaft member meshes with a driven bevel gear attached to an end portion of a rotating shaft member, and the rotating shaft member is axially rotated. Thus, the guide bar is moved in a longitudinal direction thereof to adjust tension of the saw chain.

To provide an operation lever including a first lever that has a base end portion swingably supported to a peripheral portion of a nut member for fastening a guide bar in a chain saw, and a second lever that is engaged with the first lever in a manner slidable in an axial direction. The operation lever can be placed in a receiving portion of the nut member with an axial length thereof shortened, and can be manipulated to rotate the nut member by being gripped on an outer end portion of the second lever in a state in which the operation lever is lifted out from the receiving portion and the axial length is lengthened. Thus, a sufficient fastening force for the guide bar can be obtained, and operability can be improved.

A portable working machine includes a working machine body, bolt members erected on the working machine body, a cover member configured to be attachable to and detachable from the working machine body, in which the cover member has through-holes through which the bolt members are inserted when attaching the cover member, fixing members configured to be fastened to the bolt members to fix the cover member attached to the working machine body, and a holding member attached to an outer surface of the cover member with a predetermined gap space between the holding member and the outer surface of the cover member, in which the holding member is configured to retain the fixing members on an outer side of the outer surface of the cover member when a fastening of the fixing members to the bolt members is released to prevent the fixing members from dropping off the cover member.

There are provided a printing apparatus, a method for controlling the printing apparatus, and a storage medium. The printing apparatus includes a conveying unit that conveys a print medium; a print head that applies a color material on the print medium; an obtaining unit configured to obtain, in the case where a first surface of the print medium on which a first image is printed comes in contact with the conveying unit, information on a printing condition of the first surface that becomes a factor of changing a conveying speed of the print medium in the predetermined direction; and a control unit configured to control timing of applying a color material on a second surface of the print medium that is a surface at the opposite to the first surface according to the printing condition indicated by the information obtained by the obtaining unit.

A two-stroke engine is provided with a scavenging passage that extends between a scavenging intake that opens into a crankcase and a scavenging port that opens into a cylinder, and an air passage that is connected to an intermediate position of a scavenging passage for introducing air into the scavenging passage. A first check valve that is disposed within a section of a scavenging passage between a scavenging intake and the intermediate position. A second check valve that is disposed within the air passage. The section of the scavenging passage between the intermediate position and the scavenging intake, the air passage, and a mixture gas passage are arranged in a substantially same direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the cylinder.

A stratified scavenging two-stroke engine includes a first scavenging passage that extends from a first scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase to a first scavenging port that opens to the inside of a cylinder, and a second scavenging passage that extends from a second scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase to a second scavenging port that opens to the inside of the cylinder. The first and second passages are formed so as to communicate with each other via a communicating portion. An air passage is connected to the first passage at a position closer to the first scavenging intake than the communicating portion. A first check valve inhibits a flow from the first passage to the inside of the crankcase, and a second check valve inhibits a flow from the first passage through the air passage to the outside.

The power supply includes a transformer for generating a first output voltage by a first secondary winding, and a superimposing voltage by a second secondary winding, and a driver. Furthermore, the circuit includes first and second rectifying and smoothing circuits for respectively rectifying and smoothing the first output voltage and superimposing voltage, and an adder for adding the rectified and smoothed superimposing voltage on the rectified and smoothed first output voltage to output a second output voltage. The first and second output voltages are fed back respectively by DC coupling, the fed-back first and second output voltages are respectively adjusted by first and second feedback factors, and the adjusted feedback components are combined and amplified to be applied to the driver for PWM-control.

A two-stroke engine is provided with a piston, a cylinder that houses the piston in a manner allowing reciprocation, a crankshaft that is connected to the piston via a connecting rod, a crankcase that houses the crankshaft in a manner allowing rotation, a mixture gas passage that introduces mixture gas into the crankcase, a scavenging passage that extends between a scavenging intake that opens into the crankcase and a scavenging port that opens into the cylinder; and an air passage that is connected to an intermediate position of the scavenging passage for introducing air into the scavenging passage. The engine is adapted such that, in a part of an upward stroke period of the piston, the crankcase in which negative pressure is generated is connected to the scavenging passage via the scavenging port.

There are provided a printing apparatus and printing method capable of achieving high-quality printing by fine ink droplets, and collecting unwanted ink droplets. According to the method, ink droplets discharged from a printhead are negatively charged by the negative ions in printing. A printing medium is charged positively opposite to the polarity of ink droplets. By the electrostatic force, discharged ink droplets travel toward the printing medium, and the amount of ink droplets attached to the printing medium is increased. In addition, an ink mist collecting unit having a positive electrode is employed to collect floating ink mist.

A recording head performing recording with thermal energy and having a temperature sensor. The sensor measures the temperature of the recording head with minimal susceptibility to common mode noise. The sensor includes a p-n junction of a semiconductor provided inside the recording head. Temperature detection is performed by converting a first voltage value at a P-side portion of the sensor and a second voltage value at a N-side portion of the sensor into respective digital data. A difference data of the respective digital data is calculated. Based on the difference data, the temperature of the recording head can be determined.

Replacement of a recording head on a recording apparatus is detected on the basis of a serial number allocated to each recording head. The recording head also carries head characteristic information such as color information, shading information and so forth. When the recording head is replaced with a new one, the head characteristic information of the newly mounted recording head is automatically stored, so that head driving conditions are automatically determined to optimize the recording conditions without requiring any manual adjustment. Recovery operation is automatically executed when replacement of the recording head is detected, so that required recording conditions are recovered without manual instructions.
