The present invention relates to a mixture of a compound (1) and a compound (2). The compound (1) is a light-emitting perovskite compound which includes components A, B, and X, and the compound (2) is a light-emitting indium compound or light-emitting cadmium compound. The component A indicates a component positioned at each vertex of a hexahedron having the component B at the center in a perovskite type crystal structure and is a monovalent cation, the component X indicates a component positioned at each vertex of an octahedron having the component B at the center in the perovskite type crystal structure and is one or more kinds of anions selected from the group consisting of a halide ion and a thiocyanate ion, and the component B indicates a component positioned at the centers of the hexahedron where the component A is disposed at each vertex and the octahedron where the component X is disposed at each vertex in the perovskite type crystal structure and is a metal ion.

A sol of the present invention is a sol comprising zirconium oxalate compound as a dispersoid, wherein a mol ratio of oxalic acid to Zr (oxalic acid/Zr) is from 1.2 to 3 and a particle diameter D50 of the dispersoid is from 10 to 100 nm. The titanium oxide has a selected ion chromatogram in which an evolution gas having 28 of a ratio of mass number to electric charge quantity exhibits at least one peak at about 600&#xb0; C. or higher, the selected ion chromatogram being measured in a thermogravimetry-mass-spectroscopy.

The present invention provides a method for producing a ceramic dispersion composition, the method comprising the step of heating a mixture of a ceramic powder having a photocatalytic activity, a dispersant and a solvent at a temperature of about 70&#xb0; C. or higher without substantially letting the solvent out of the reaction system. A titanium oxide showing sufficiently high photocatalytic activities by irradiation of visible light is provided. A process for producing a titanium oxide is provided which comprises (i) a step of calcining a titanium compound in the presence of ammonia gas or (ii) steps of treating a titanium compound with heat in the presence of ammonia gas and calcining the heat-treated titanium compound. Process for producing titanium oxide

A process for producing a titanium oxide is provided which comprises the steps of (i) reacting a titanium compound with ammonia in an amount exceeding the stoichiometric amount necessary to convert the titanium compound to a titanium hydroxide or reacting a titanium compound with a base at pH of from about 2 to about 7, to obtain a reaction product and (ii) calcining the obtained product. A titanium hydroxide is provided which can be utilized for producing a photocatalyst exhibiting a superior photocatalytic activity by irradiation of visible light.
