A battery monitoring unit includes a plurality of voltage detection lines, a flexible printed circuit board extending in a stuck direction of single batteries, an electronic circuit connected to one end portions of the plurality of the voltage detection lines so as to detect voltage of each of the single batteries and mounted on the flexible printed circuit board, a plurality of busbar fixing portions formed integrally with the flexible printed circuit board and to which the plurality of the busbars are fixed respectively, and communication lines disposed in the flexible printed circuit board so as to connect between the electronic circuit and a battery ECU.

Battery monitoring unit

A battery monitoring device includes a battery information input terminal, a battery state monitoring unit, an output terminal, a circuit board, and a housing member. The battery information input terminal is electrically connected to a battery state detecting member. The battery state monitoring unit receives a battery state detection signal via the battery information input terminal. The output terminal outputs monitoring information on the battery state corresponding to the battery state detection signal to an external arithmetic processor. The circuit board is provided with the battery information input terminal, the battery state monitoring unit, and the output terminal. The housing member is integrally formed with the battery information input terminal, the battery state monitoring unit, the output terminal, and the circuit board so as to accommodate at least the whole battery state monitoring unit and the whole circuit board and expose terminal connecting portions to the outside.

Battery monitoring device

A meter module includes a meter panel in which meters and indication lamps are mounted, a centralized control circuit board in which control circuits for a vehicle's electrical devices (including meters and indication lamps) are installed, an electric junction box for distribution of power, input and output signals and for integration of earth lines, and a module case. The electric junction box is formed by setting a bus-bar circuit board and an insulator cover in the module case. The electric junction box is formed by setting a bus-bar circuit board and an insulator cover in the module case. The centralized control circuit board and the meter panel are fixed over the electric junction box, whereby the meter panel, the centralized control circuit board and the electric junction box are intensively incorporated. Thus, the electric wiring in the instrument panel portion of the vehicle is simplified and this facilitates setting and assembling of the electric devices such as the meter panel. Furthermore, a wiring harness protector includes a protector main body for protecting a wiring harness therein and a cover. A plurality of through holes are concentrated in the cover, and a plurality of connectors in the wiring harness set in the protector main body are set through the corresponding through holes in a direction perpendicular to the wiring harness extending direction. The connectors are fixed through a connector stopper to form a multipolar connector. The wiring harness protector simplifies the wiring harness, especially the wiring arrangement of instrument panel wiring harness, and facilitates setting and assembling of the wiring harness.

An instrument panel with meters/indicating lamps and their drive circuits implemented therein, a centralized control circuit board provided with control circuits for vehicle-mounted electric equipment including the meters/indicating lamps, and an electric junction box for distributing power sources and input/output signals for the vehicle-mounted electric equipment and for integrating ground wires, are gathered and integrally united. Electric wiring and installation of electric instruments such as an instrument panel in the dashboard portion of an automobile are facilitated.

Meter module

A meter module includes a meter panel in which meters and indication lamps are mounted, a centralized control circuit board in which control circuits for car electric devices including the meters and indication lamps are installed, an electric junction box for distribution of power, input and output signals and for integration of earth lines, and a module case. A meter module assembly includes a combination meter panel implemented with meters/indicating lamps and a drive circuit thereof, an electric junction box integrating functional circuits to distribute and control power sources and input/output signals for vehicle-mounted electric equipment including the meters/indicating lamps, and a switch unit integrating switches for vehicle-mounted electric equipment. The combination meter panel, the electric junction box, and the switch unit are integrally united. The electric junction box is integrally combined with the switch unit at the rear surface of the unit being arranged side by side with the combination meter panel. The electric junction box is electrically connected with the combination meter panel by a flexible circuit board.

Meter module assembly

This invention concerns a hybrid printed circuit board which permits easy and reliable connection between small-current circuit conductors and large-current circuit conductors. The hybrid printed circuit board of this invention comprises: an insulating substrate of synthetic resin having fixing bosses erected thereon; a flexible printed circuit sheet having small-current circuit conductors; and busbars as large-current circuit conductors; wherein the flexible printed circuit sheet is stacked and arranged on the insulating substrate so that the fixing bosses erected on the insulating substrate pass through and above the flexible printed circuit sheet, the busbars as large-current circuit conductors are put in contact with the small-current circuit conductors, and the fixing bosses are heated and deformed to fix the busbars in place.

Disclosed is an electric connection box integral with an ignition switch to be incorporated into an instrument panel in an automobile. The electric connection box, which is to be disposed in an instrument panel, includes in its internal circuit protect parts such as a fuse and the like and a branch circuit (a bus bar circuit) having circuits respectively to be connected directly with an ignition circuit, thereby connecting the ignition circuit directly with the branch circuit, whereby an ignition switch and the circuit protect parts are integrated into the electric connection box.

An electric junction box installed in an automotive instrument panel incorporates the meter board and its associated switch circuits as the internal circuit of the box. The electric junction box has an internal busbar circuit having branches that are directly connected to the meter board and the switch circuits so that they form an integral part of the internal circuit of the junction box.

A wire harness mounting structure for a motor vehicle door comprising a door frame and planar mounting means, detachably attached to said door frame at an internal side of its motor vehicle, having a wire harness mounted thereon and extending in a plane generally parallel to the door frame. The mounting means is either in the form of a covering board, or a combination of the covering board and an internal side board mounted between the vehicle door frame and the covering board, and, is either integrally formed with the covering board or independently, rigidly formed as in the case of an internal side board. The wire harness is terminated at the hinge mounting end of the door frame in a bundled leading-out portion which in one embodiment is fixed to the door frame by a waterproof grommet which surrounds the leading-out portion and is supported in a groove formed in the hinge mounting end of the frame at a corner portion defined by the inner side surface of the door frame and the hinge mounting end of the frame.

Wire harness mounting structure for motor vehicle door

A wire harness mounting structure for a motor vehicle door comprising a door frame and planar mounting means, detachably attached to said door frame at an internal side of its motor vehicle, having a wire harness mounted thereon and extending in a plane generally parallel to the door frame. The mounting means is either in the form of a covering board, or a combination of the covering board and an internal side board mounted between the vehicle door frame and the covering board, and, is either integrally formed with the covering board or independently, rigidly formed as in the case of an internal side board.

Wire harnesses for connecting a number of electric devices mounted on an automotive vehicle are arranged on flat resin frame covers fixed to vehicle frames or directly on resin vehicle frames or most preferably on a resin vehicle body, in order to facilitate wiring of electric devices, reduce harness spaces without use of harness fixtures, and automatize wire harness manufacturing processes. The wire harness thus arranged is connected to electric devices by engaging each set of harness end terminals with each electric device connector attached to the vehicle frame.

Wire harness arrangement for automotive vehicle

A wire harness can be replaced partly or in its entirety with a circuit board which is composed of an insulator substrate and a plurality of conductive strip members provided thereon. The above mentioned conductive strip members are arranged on the insulator substrate parallel with each other. This parallel arrangement of the conductive strips corresponds to bundling of wires in a wire harness. By providing branch paths extending from the conductive strip members, the circuit board can replace a substantial part of the wire harness.

To facilitate wire connection work of electric elements disposed in an automotive vehicle door so that the door assembly wiring can be automated, a wire harness is provided which comprises a plurality of parallel-arranged trunk conductors; a plurality of sets of parallel-arranged branch conductors; and in particular a plurality of connector terminals provided at one of each of the branch conductors in such a way as to be each directly connectable to each of the electric elements. The connector terminals are male or female terminals provided so as to project outward and inward from the wire harness surface passing through openings formed in an outer door frame, a trim panel or a decorative panel.

To effectively form a branch harness from a trunk harness, the wire harness comprises an insulating sheet, a plurality of horizontal harness conductors arranged in parallel to each other on the insulating sheet, and a plurality of second harness conductors also arranged in parallel to each other and perpendicular to said first harness conductors on the insulating sheet. The first and second harness conductors are selectively connected to each other through holes formed in another insulating sheet with soldering, welding, rivets or grommets or by cutting off harness conductor ends along a line inclined at 45 degrees with respect to the harness conductor. Further, it is preferable to directly form male or female connector terminals at each end of the harness conductors.
