A reactorof the present invention includes: a combined productprovided with a coiland a magnetic corewhere the coilis disposed; and a casestoring the combined product. The caseincludes: a bottom plate portionfixed to a fixation target when the reactoris installed in the fixation target; a side wall portionattached to the bottom plate portionto surround the combined product; and a heat dissipation layerformed on the inner face of the bottom plate portionto be interposed between the bottom plate portionand the coil. The bottom plate portionis made of aluminum, and the side wall portionis made of an insulating resin. The heat dissipation layeris made of an adhesive agent whose thermal conductivity is high and which exhibits an excellent insulating characteristic. Since the bottom plate portionis structured as a separate member from the side wall portion, the heat dissipation layercan easily be formed and, moreover, the heat dissipation layercan be made of a material possessing an excellent heat dissipating characteristic. Since the insulatorevenly presses the coilagainst the heat dissipation layer, an even more excellent heat dissipating characteristic is achieved.

Reactor

A cable support for an automobile allows a cable installed in a bent U-turn shape to be readily positioned and supported on a vehicle body or the like in a reliable manner. Two portions of a cable folded in a U-turn shape are inserted into a common insertion hole in a main body tube. The two portions of the cable folded in a U-turn shape are respectively inserted into independent insertion holes separately provided to a branching tube that is integral with the main body tube.

Cable support for automobile

A reactor being small in size and exhibiting excellent productivity, a method for manufacturing the same, and a reactor component suitable as the constituent component of the reactor are provided. The reactor includes a combined product including a coil and a magnetic core, and a case storing the combined product. The case includes a bottom plate portion made of aluminum, a side wall portion made of an insulating resin, and a joining layer formed on the inner face of the bottom plate portion for fixing the coil. The bottom plate portion and the side wall portion are independent separate members, which are integrated with each other by bolts and the like. Terminal fittings having a pair of joining pieces, which are disposed at the positions opposing to the end portions of the wire structuring the coil, are fixed to the side wall portion. Since each end portion of the wire is interposed in the space formed by the joining pieces, the wire and the terminal fittings can be electrically connected to each other without the necessity of using a separate jig. Since the joining layer is made of an adhesive agent exhibiting excellent thermal conductivity and insulation, the reactor possesses an excellent heat dissipating characteristic.

A functional connector includes: first, second and third lead frames each including a contact and a terminal integrally contiguous to the contact; a diode chip; a lead chip posed between the first lead frame and the second lead frame to connect opposite poles of the diode chip to the contact of each of the first lead frame and the second lead frame; a resistor chip arranged astride the second lead frame and the third lead frame and connected to the contact of each of the second lead frame and the third lead frame; and resin covering the first lead frame and the third lead frame each excluding the contact, the diode chip and the resistor chip, with the first lead frame and the third lead frame each having the terminal protruding externally.
