It is an object to realize a correcting process for correcting a defective image in a region of interest (ROI) that is a partial region segmented from a captured image. A transmitting apparatus includes a controlling section that controls the holding of defect correcting information for use in correcting a defect in an image included in a ROI and a transmitting section that sends out image data of the image included in the ROI as payload data and sends out ROI information as embedded data.

An image processing apparatus for correcting a hue and a saturation in an input video signal of a moving picture in real time is disclosed wherein the image processing apparatus includes an extracting unit for extracting the hue and the saturation from the input video signal, a determining unit for determining a correcting amount according to the hue and the saturation extracted in the extracting unit, and a correcting unit for correcting the hue and the saturation of the input video signal based on the determination result of the determining unit. Thereby, a desired signal portion of the input video signal is arbitrary corrected in response to the hue and saturation in real time.

Video signals from a plurality of personal computers are written to a memory that stores video signals for a plurality of display screens through respective buffers. The video signals may be read from the respective buffers and displayed simultaneously on a single monitor. A data processing system having a channel processing device provided with an input/output device which requires input/output interrupt. The channel processing device responding to a request for input/output interrupt, propagating the request for input/output interrupt to a central processing unit, and reporting the state of the input/output device to the central processing unit. The channel processing device includes an interrupt detecting circuit which detects the request for input/output interrupt sent from the input/output device to the channel processing device, a status information detecting circuit which detects whether the status information sent from the input/output device to the channel processing unit together with the request for input output interrupt is a predetermined specified value, and a counting circuit which counts a predetermined constant time when the status information detecting circuit detects the predetermined specific value so that the request for input/output interrupt is sent to the central processing unit after the counting means counts the constant time.
