A sun visor for a vehicle configured to be engaged with a support section provided in a compartment of the vehicle has a sun visor main body that shields light, a supplementary body slidably attached to the sun visor main body and slidable from a first position where the supplementary body overlaps the sun visor main body to a second position where the supplementary body is drawn out of the sun visor main body to shield the light in a wider area, projections standing on peripheries of the through-holes, and a plurality of through-holes penetrating the supplementary body so as to have incident light partly pass through the through-holes.

A vehicle-mountable sun visor includes: a shaft of which one end is mounted on a vehicle body; a support, which is mounted on the shaft; a sun visor body in which two resin core members are coupled with each other by a hinged portion and the two resin core members are folded with the hinged portion being a fold so as to involve the other end of the shaft and the support; a first slide guide, which is provided in proximity to the hinged portion, for guiding sliding of the support; and a second slide guide, which is provided on an internal face of one of the two resin core members, for guiding sliding of the support. The support is slidably held in a space surrounded by the folded two resin core members, the first slide guide, and the second slide guide. The support turns around the shaft, and the sun visor body thereby turns. The support slides along the two resin core members, the first slide guide, and the second slide guide, and the sun visor body thereby slides relative to the shaft. In this manner, operability in sliding operation of the vehicle-mountable sun visor is enhanced.

Vehicle-mountable sun visor

A sun visor to be used in a vehicle has a sun visor body with an opening; at least one punched plate having a front side and a back side and a plurality of holes opened between the front side and the back side, which is fitted in the opening of the sun visor body; and at least one light-attenuation plate for attenuating incident light horizontally passing through the holes of the punched plate, which is placed on at least one of the front and back sides of the punched plate. Therefore, the vehicle can be operated safely under the incident morning or evening sunlight.
