An object is to provide a water-dispersible paper that exhibits excellent dispersibility in water. As a solution, a water-dispersible paper is provided, which has: a base paper that has a bulky layer containing 10% by weight or higher of a softwood pulp with a lumen width (l) to fiber diameter (D) ratio (l/D) of 0.60 or lower on average; and a water-soluble polymer impregnated into the base paper.

A water-dispersible sheet is described that maintains water dispersibility while providing suppressed time degradation of the tacky adhesiveness of a tacky adhesive layer. The water-dispersible sheet has a paper substrate with a multilayer structure. One layer of the multilayer structure is an inner layer that is not in contact with the tacky adhesive layer. Another layer is a surface layer that is in contact with the tacky adhesive layer. The layers independently include mixed pulps of a wood pulp and a refined pulp with an &#x3b1;-cellulose content of 88 % by weight or more. The weight ratio of the layers and the beating degree of the mixed pulps are set in the specific ranges.

Water-dispersible sheet

The present invention provides a water-dispersible paper having improved dispersibility in seawater. A water-dispersible paper can have excellent dispersion solubility in seawater and the clogging of a filter by a water-dispersible paper can be reduced, by using an alkalized carboxyalkyl cellulose having a specific degree of etherification (DS) and a specific Runkel ratio. The water-dispersible paper comprises a base paper containing fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose and papermaking fibers, wherein the content of the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose in the base paper is from 25 to 80% by weight, the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose is alkalized, the degree of etherification (DS) of the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose is from 0.40 to 0.63, and Runkel ratio of the fibrous carboxyalkyl cellulose is from 0.5 to 3.5.

A water-dispersible sheet is described having suppressed time degradation of the tacky adhesiveness of the tacky adhesive layer, while maintaining water dispersibility. The base paper of the water-dispersible sheet has a multilayer structure, including an inner layer which is not in contact with a tacky adhesive layer and a surface layer which is in contact with the tacky adhesive layer. The layers are independently mixtures of papermaking fibers and an alkalized fibrous carboxymethyl cellulose.

A water dispersion paper made of wood pulp and/or non-wood pulp is characterized in that purified pulp containing &#x3b1;-cellulose by 88 percent by weight or more accounts for 15 to 95 percent by weight of all pulp. The water dispersion paper has quick water dispersion property and high strength (printability) and its paper surface pH is 6 to 8 (neutral range).

An object of the present invention is to provide a water dispersion paper having quick water dispersion property and high strength (printability) and whose paper surface pH is 6 to 8 (neutral range), and also to provide a water dispersion coated paper designed to ensure quick water dispersion property and prevent discoloration over time. A water dispersion paper made of wood pulp and/or non-wood pulp, wherein said water dispersion paper is characterized in that purified pulp containing &#x3b1;-cellulose by 88 percent by weight or more accounts for 15 to 95 percent by weight of all pulp, as well as a water dispersion coated paper having a water-soluble coating layer on said water dispersion paper.

A coating paper which can be removed by water comprising a substrate paper of single layer or lamellar structure having two or more layers which has at least one water decaying layer containing 5-100 wt % of water insoluble fibrous carboxy alkyl cellulose and a water base color is coated on said substrate paper, wherein a coating layer and at least a part of substrate paper which is a supporter of said coating layer has a characteristic of easily removing, dispersion and dissolving by contact with water, and can provide a water decaying coating paper used preferably for an use of label for a returnable container which may easily remove by contact with water and excellent in printing aptitude and a method for preparation thereof can be provided.

A period indicator including a liquid-permeable substrate and an indicative section which is overlaid on a portion of the substrate and which is formed from a liquid-permeable material having a low light refractive index, the indicator containing a volatile liquid, wherein the indicative section is formed by coating a surface of the substrate with an indicative-section-forming material prepared by mixing a binder and finely divided particulate matter having a low light refractive index, the indicative section is composed of two or more regions, and the regions differ in height from one another as measured from the surface of the substrate, as the coating amounts per unit area of the indicative section forming material in respective regions differ from one another. Since the period indicator can indicate the chemical-containing state stepwise, it is useful for indicating the available period of use of a chemical such as a mothproofing agent, an insecticide, a deodorant, or a fragrance.
