The method includes a step of forming a capacitor element precursor by winding or stacking a separator, the anode body, and the cathode body with the separator interposed between the anode body and the cathode body, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a treatment liquid containing a polyhydric alcohol, a solvent, and a conductive polymer component, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a liquid component after the step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with the treatment liquid, and a step of forming the capacitor element by eluting the polyhydric alcohol into the liquid component.

An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element. The capacitor element includes a separator, an anode body and a cathode body each having a foil shape and facing each other with the separator disposed between the anode body and the cathode body, and an electrolyte layer being in contact with the anode body, the cathode body, and the separator. The electrolyte layer contains a first conductive polymer and a first compound having a melting point of 50° C. or higher. The first compound is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a sugar and a polyhydric alcohol. The first compound is unevenly distributed in the electrolyte layer.

The electrolyte layer contains a conductive polymer and a hydroxyl group-containing compound having a melting point of 50° C. or higher. The hydroxyl group-containing compound is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a sugar and a polyhydric alcohol. The hydroxyl group-containing compound is unevenly distributed more in a peripheral portion of the capacitor element than in a central portion of the capacitor element.

A method for manufacturing an electrolytic capacitor according to the present disclosure includes a first step to a third step described below. The electrolytic capacitor includes an anode body having a dielectric layer, and a solid electrolyte layer formed on a surface of the dielectric layer. The first step is a step of preparing a first treatment solution by dissolving or dispersing a conductive polymer in a liquid first component and leaving a conductive polymer solution or a conductive polymer dispersion liquid to stand for a first period. The second step is a step of preparing a second treatment solution by mixing the first treatment solution with a second component. The third step is a step of forming a solid electrolyte layer on a surface of the dielectric layer by applying the second treatment solution to the surface of the dielectric layer.

Method for manufacturing electrolytic capacitor

An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element. The capacitor element includes a winding body, a solid electrolyte layer containing a conductive polymer, and an electrolytic solution. The winding body is configured to be wound around by an anode member on which a dielectric layer is formed, and a cathode member. The solid electrolyte layer is formed in the winding body. An electrolytic solution is impregnated into the winding body in which the solid electrolyte layer is formed. A volume ratio of the electrolytic solution impregnated into the winding body to the solid electrolyte layer formed in the winding body ranges from 1.27 to 2.54 both inclusive.

Wound body is formed by winding a positive electrode member having a surface with a dielectric film thereon and a negative electrode member. Resin layer covers at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of wound body.

A method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor having an even conductive polymer layer includes the steps of forming a conductive polymer layer on an anode element by bringing a dispersion containing a conductive solid and a first solvent into contact with the anode element having a dielectric film formed thereon, washing the anode element with a second solvent higher in boiling point than the first solvent, in which the conductive solid can be dispersed, after the conductive polymer layer is formed, and drying the anode element washed with the second solvent at a temperature not lower than the boiling point of the first solvent and lower than the boiling point of the second solvent.
