A three-phase DC brushless motor and coil winding method provide a coil winding enabling consistent starting with PWM sensorless driving by suppressing the DC offset component of the induced voltage resulting from an imbalance in the motor coil windings. The method of winding the armature winding of the three-phase DC brushless motor renders the difference in mutual inductance substantially zero.

Three-phase DC brushless motor and winding method

A motor driving part has half bridge circuits in which a high potential side drive transistor and a low potential side drive transistor are connected in series to each other, and a connection point therebetween serves as a stator winding driving terminal of each phase of a motor. A rotor position detector detects a rotor position of the motor and outputs a rotor position signal. The current phase detector detects the phase of a phase current flowing in the stator winding driving terminal. A voltage signal generator controls and generates a voltage profile signal such that a first phase difference that is a difference between the phase of the phase current and the phase of the rotor position signal is kept to a predetermined electrical angle. A driving signal generator generates a PWM signal that drives the drive transistor of each phase depending on the voltage profile signal.

Motor driving device, motor driving method, and motor apparatus

A rotor position sensorless multiphase motor driving device includes a rotor; a plurality of phase windings; a common terminal to which one terminal of terminals at both ends of each winding is star connected; an upper-side drive transistor and a lower-side drive transistor connected to the other terminal of the winding; a commutation control unit operable to select two terminals other than the common terminal of the windings, and to turn on the corresponding pair of upper-side drive transistor and the lower-side drive transistor; a rotor position search pulse applying unit operable to apply a search pulse to the selected two terminals; and a comparing unit operable to detect a rotor position based on a response signal generated between the terminal which was unselected and the common terminal according to the search pulse application.

Motor driving device and motor driving method

A motor driving apparatus includes a comparator, a threshold controller, a position determining unit, a phase-switching controller, and a current output unit. While the rotor is stopped, the phase-switching controller supplies a predetermined phase of winding with a current pulse having a predetermined pulse width so as not to cause the rotor to react and operate, in order to determine the initial position of the rotor. The position determining unit determines an initial position of the rotor based on the result of comparison between the induced voltage generated in a non-conduction phase by the current pulse and the threshold. The phase-switching controller performs energization or commutation according to the determined initial position of the rotor to start up the motor.

Motor driving apparatus and motor driving method

A torque current component and an exciting current component of primary AC currents which are supplied to a stator of a three-phase induction motor are commanded independently of each other in accordance with a command rotational angular velocity and a rotational angular velocity of the three-phase induction motor rotating an agitator, and the rotational angular velocity of the three-phase induction motor is controlled by changing the magnitude and frequency of each of the primary AC currents. Furthermore, a test operation is carried out by giving the command angular velocity so as to make constant the angular velocity of the motor, and the laundry amount is estimated corresponding to an output torque of the motor in the test operation.

A motor controller according to the present invention is so configured that time interval measuring means measures the time interval of a rotational position signal indicating the rotational position of a rotor based on said rotational position signal, correction coefficient storage means stores the correction coefficient indicating the inaccuracy of said rotational position signal, estimated rotational angle production means produces an estimated rotational angle providing an estimated value of the rotational angle by extrapolating the rotational angle based on said time interval and said correction coefficient, and command production means produces a current command or a voltage command based on said estimated rotational angle and outputs it to driving means for driving a motor.

Motor controller

A control system for an induction motor of the present invention independently commands the torque current component and the exciting current component of a stator current group supplied to the stator of an induction motor so as to feed-back control the amplitude and phase of the stator current group. The torque current component is commanded to control the output torque of the induction motor in correspondence with the output of a steering force sensor for detecting the steering force. According to an electric power steering apparatus using an induction motor controlled by the control system, a permanent magnet is not used for the motor so additional equipment such as a clutch is not required. Consequently, the structure can be simplified and the size of the unit can be reduced. Further, manual steering operation can be performed in the case of failure.

Control system for an induction motor

A controller for a permanent magnet synchronous motor which includes a D-axis current command section and a Q-axis current command section. The D-axis current command section increases the command value of the D-axis current so as to set a judged value to be zero by leading the current phase when the judged value is positive. In addition, the D-axis current command section decreases the command value of the D-axis current when the judged value is negative. Moreover, the D-axis current command section holds the command value of the D-axis current at a predetermined minimum value when the decreasing command value of the D-axis current becomes smaller than the predetermined minimum value. The Q-axis current command section is responsible for supplying a command value of the Q-axis current.
