In a pump apparatus having a reduction chamber for reducing pulsation of a hydraulic fluid pressurized in a pump section on the way of a discharge channel having an opening in the outer surface of the housing of the pump section, a remaining fluid inflow prevention pipe having one end fitted into and fixed to the discharge channel between the outer surface and the reduction chamber and the other end positioned in the reduction chamber is provided, and a seal lip for fluid-tightly sealing the space between the inner wall of the discharge channel and the one end is provided on the outer circumference of the one end. The seal lip is formed in a shape tapered toward the discharge side. Further, the outside diameter of the other end of the remaining fluid inflow prevention pipe is made larger than the inside diameter of the discharge channel.

Pump apparatus

The present invention provides an electric pump apparatus which can be assembled easily by providing a groove having a shape corresponding to that of an opening of a bottomed-cylindrical tank cylinder on pump side end surface of a bracket for supporting the pump and electric motor on its both ends so that the tank cylinder constitutes a reservoir for operating fluid, detachably attaching an opening-side-end portion of the tank cylinder into the groove, and engaging a snap ring with a side wall of the groove; and which is designed to be compact in which a Suppression chamber for pulsation-reduction of discharged fluid is integrally provided, by constituting the suppression chamber with the opening side of the groove is sealed by an intermediate plate provided in-between the opening side and pump.

Electric pump apparatus

A power steering apparatus integrally comprises an electric motor, a hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor, and a controlling device which is disposed between the electric motor and hydraulic pump and which controls the electric motor, in which steering is assisted by oil pressure generated by the hydraulic pump, wherein a radiating body for radiating a heat generated by the controlling device is disposed between the controlling device and hydraulic pump, so that the heat generated by the controlling device is radiated to the hydraulic pump. With this configuration, it is possible to efficiently radiate a heat generated inside the controlling device, the heat radiation can be designed without being influenced by ambient condition, and it is possible to be replaced by, member having a low heat-resistance.

Power steering device

A gear pump is provided with a drive gear rotated via a drive shaft; a slave gear; a gear housing containing a gear chamber housing these gears therein; and a pump housing composed of a cylindrical housing main body with a bottom which contains the gear housing for serving as a low pressurized chamber, the inside of which communicates with the gear chamber, and an opening being defined thereon, and a covering member for closing the opening, wherein an eccentric pitted portion being eccentric with respect to the axis of the drive shaft is defined on the covering member, and the fluid return port is allowed to face to the eccentric pitted portion to function the eccentric pitted portion as a return fluid passage for return fluid, whereby it is possible to reduce a size of the gear pump without accompanying any cavitation.

Gear pump

A motor-driven hydraulic pump for use in motor vehicles and a driving coupler used therein, in which the pump includes a driving gear and a follower gear, an intake chamber and an outlet chamber formed on opposite sides of the meshed gears, a housing for enclosing the intake chamber and the outlet chamber, the housing being supported by a first support on one side and a second support on the other side, and a noise damper including a space inside for reducing noise occurring during the delivery of a working oil, the noise damper communicating with the outlet chamber and being fixed to the second support of the housing, and wherein the driving coupler includes a protruding, undulated sleeve including a mortise mating with a tenon formed on the end of either the driving shaft or the driven shaft, and a sleeve counterpart including a mortise mating with a tenon formed on the end of the other shaft, and a protruding, splined projection which includes splines shaped to fit into the undulated sleeve, with spaces between the undulated sleeve and the splines being filled with an elastic material.

Motor-driven hydraulic gear pump having a noise damper

An oil tank including an oil tank body for storing oil and an oil filter disposed between an oil inlet for allowing oil into the oil tank body and an oil outlet for sending oil out. An oil inlet chamber is formed, inside the oil tank body, from a portion of the side wall, a portion of the bottom wall and the inner wall of the tank body, and communicates with the oil inlet. The oil filter has a substantially flat shape and forms a portion of the inner wall. By the use of the oil filter having a reasonably large mesh area, independently of the diameter of the oil inlet, the oil filter is protected against a mesh damage and is prevented from being detached. Since no excessively large area mesh is required, no particular rise in material costs is expected. A substantially flat surface structured oil filter is easy to fabricate and less costly to fabricate as well.

Oil tank

A structure in which a reservoir is supported by a bracket. The bracket has a side plate facing the external circumference of the reservoir and a bottom plate facing the bottom of the reservoir. An insert fitting portion formed onto the reservoir is fitted from above into a receiver fitting portion formed onto the side plate. A lock member is supported by the side plate like a cantilever at the upper edge of an opening formed on the side plate. A catch portion formed on the reservoir forces the lock member to displace elastically so that the lock member recedes from the reservoir in the course of fitting of the insert fitting portion into the receiver fitting portion. The side plate is elastically deformable in company with the elastic displacement of the lock member. When the fitting operation is completed, the lock member comes close to the reservoir to recover its original position and is placed on the top of the catch portion to prevent the upward dismount of the reservoir out of the bracket. An auxiliary receiver fitting portion is formed onto the bottom plate, and an auxiliary insert fitting portion is formed onto the reservoir, and thus, the reservoir is supported by the bracket at two support areas.

Reservoir supporting structure

A flow control apparatus is disclosed which includes a housing, a cylinder disposed in the housing and a spool disposed in the cylinder while being urged in one direction along the axial direction of the cylinder. The spool slides along the axial direction against the urging force, to adjust the flow quantity of a fluid. A stopper is disposed in the housing for restricting the range of the sliding movement of the spool toward the urging direction. A pair of engaging projections are disposed on the peripheral wall of either the housing and the stopper and are separated from each other by substantially 180 degrees, and an engaging hole disposed in the other of the peripheral wall and the stopper so as to engage at least one of the engaging projections. This at least one projection is engaging with the engaging hole by the urging force acting on the spool, to attach the stopper to the housing.

Flow control apparatus

A hydraulic transmission coupling apparatus which is used instead of a center differential or a viscous coupling being usually mounted between a front wheel drive shaft and a rear wheel drive shaft of a four-wheel drive vehicle, and transmits driving force existing between the two shafts. The hydraulic transmission coupling apparatus is provided with a vane-type hydraulic pump which generates hydraulic pressure corresponding to a relative rotation speed difference of the two drive shafts and a variable throttle valve being disposed in the passage connecting a discharge port of the hydraulic pump with a tank, whose opening area varies according to the hydraulic pressure generated by the hydraulic pump, thereby driving force to be transmitted being increased or decreased steeply as the rotation speed difference becomes larger.

Hydraulic transmission coupling apparatus

A power transmission apparatus suitable for use with a four wheel drive apparatus of an automobile which can prevent production of rattling noises of a driving system and occurrence of a swerving phenomenon of the automobile. The apparatus includes a cam ring connected to a first rotary shaft and a rotor connected to a second rotary shaft and accommodated for rotation in the cam ring to define a pump chamber therebetween and is designed to transmit driving force between the first and second rotary shafts in accordance with a pressure of working fluid in the pump chamber which is produced in response to rotation of the first and second rotary shafts relative to each other. The apparatus comprises a frictional force applying mechanism interposed between the first and second rotary shafts for applying predetermined frictional force between them to assure stabilized transmission of torque between the first and second rotary shaft.

Power transmission apparatus

A power transmission apparatus suitable for use with a four wheel drive apparatus of an automobile which can prevent spouting of working fluid through a sealing portion or the like and introduction of external air into the apparatus through a sealing portion. The apparatus comprises a hydraulic transmission coupling mechanism of the vane pump type connected to a pair of shafts to transmit driving force between the shafts and having a pump chamber formed therein. A tank is provided in an integral relationship with the coupling mechanism and accommodates working fluid in an enclosed condition therein. A volume variation absorbing mechanism is provided near an axis of rotation of the coupling mechanism for absorbing a variation in volume of the working fluid in the pump chamber.

In a drive coupling unit suitable for use in an four-wheel drive unit for motor vehicles of the type wherein a torque is transmitted via a fluid pressure produced depending on a difference in rotational speed between two rotating shafts, each working fluid supply passage and a corresponding check valve disposed therein are arranged to interconnect one of two intake/discharge ports in each respective pump chamber with a tank in which a working fluid is retained. With this construction, an improved response characteristic of the check valves and a substantial reduction of the overall size of the drive coupling unit can be attained.

Drive coupling unit

A power transmission apparatus for a vehicle which is used for a four-wheel drive vehicle driving both the front and rear wheels by a driving force from an engine, in which a discharge amount of a hydraulic pump provided between a front wheel drive shaft and a rear wheel drive shaft to generate hydraulic pressure by a rotation speed difference between the two rotary shafts is desirably adjusted by a remote-controllable variable throttle valve provided on the way of a discharge oil passage extending from the hydraulic pump, so that a simple hydraulic circuit is used to make the coupling of two rotary shafts freely adjustable from loose condition to tight condition.
