A printer is provided which sprays ink from nozzles to print recording paper P. It includes a paper feed/delivery mechanism () to carrying the paper P to which the ink is to adhere, nozzles () to spray the ink as droplets, an ink-spraying head () to spray the ink from the nozzles toward the paper P having been carried to a position opposite to the nozzles, an ink-spraying controller () to control the ink-spraying head () to spray the ink from the nozzles in predetermined timing, a temperature sensor () to detect the ambient temperature and/or humidity when spraying the ink from the nozzles, a speed discrimination unit () to judge whether the carrying speed of the paper P has been changed, a memory () having stored therein ink-spraying control data intended for controlling the spraying timing correspondingly to the type of the paper P, and a controller () to delay, when the carrying speed of the paper P has been increased in the process of printing, the timing of spraying ink in other color than black based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor and ink-spraying control data for the type of the paper P, pre-stored in the memory, in relation to that which is before the carrying speed of the paper P is increased, thereby projecting the other ink than the black ink to a position to which the black ink is to be projected.

Liquid spraying apparatus and method

A platen plate for supporting an ejection object for liquid droplets ejected from each nozzle on the bottom surface of a liquid ejection head can secure the flatness of the ejection object so as to appropriately eject ink as well as can prevent the contamination of the bottom surface of the ejection object. The platen plate is provided with a plurality of ribs raised from its bottom surface so as to extend in a conveying direction of a recording sheet and arranged at predetermined intervals in a width wise direction of the recording sheet, and out of a region where ink droplets ejected from the each nozzle are landed, the bottom surface of the recording sheet is supported with top faces of the ribs so as to define a distance between the recording sheet and the ink ejection surface, and within the region where ink droplets ejected from the each nozzle are landed, the rib top faces are formed to have a height, or the ribs themselves do not exist, so that the rib top faces are not brought into contact with the bottom surface of the recording sheet.

A tape tension controlling circuit which eliminates a complicated controlling operation and is produced at a very low cost. A supply side tape tension regulator is provided on the supply reel side while a take-up side tape tension regulator is provided on the take-up reel side with reference to a rotary drum, and displacements of the regulators corresponding to tension values of the magnetic tape are fed back to reel controlling systems for the supply reel and the take-up reel so that the tape tension on the supply reel side and the tape tension on the take-up reel side are individually kept constant. When the magnetic tape is to be fed in a pinch-off condition wherein a pinch roller is spaced away from the magnetic tape, a take-up side tension error signal is inhibited from being supplied.

A tape cleaner for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus includes a plurality of blades disposed so that their tip portions are simultaneously in contact with a magnetic tape in the transportation path of the magnetic tape to remove dust and magnetic powder attached to the magnetic tape, whereby dropout can be prevented and a highly demanding error rate can be satisfied.

A tape loading device capable of obtaining sufficient information in a region of a tape necessary for recording and reproduction. The tape loading device being provided with two guide assemblies (38) and (47) for wrapping a magnetic tape (6) drawn from a supply reel and a take-up reel, respectively, around an outer circumferential surface of a head drum (1). The guide assemblies (38) and (47) respectively including sliders (39) and (48) movable between a tape loading start position and a tape loading end position, and holders (40) and (49) rotatably supported on the sliders (39) and (48) for respectively holding inclined guides (40a) and (49a). Rotational centers (O.sub.1) and (O.sub.2) of the holders (40) and (49) being positioned so that a distance (S) between the inclined guide (40a) and the outer circumferential surface of the head drum (1) and a distance (T) between the inclined guide (49a) and the outer circumferential surface of the head drum (1) can be varied by rotation of the holders (40) and (49). With this construction, a wrapping quantity of the magnetic tape (6) wrapped around the outer circumferential surface of the head drum (1) at the tape loading end position can be adjusted by varying the distances (S) and (T).
