Dielectric contactless transmission device and contactless transmission method

A resonance device includes a waveguide, a dielectric resonator disposed coaxial with the waveguide, an excitation structure thereof. One end of the waveguide is open and the other is short-circuited. The dielectric resonator has two end surfaces disposed on opposite sides to each other, is insulated from the waveguide in the vicinity of the open end of the waveguide, and is disposed within the waveguide, such that a thickness being a distance between the two end surfaces is constant, regardless of a radial position of the dielectric resonator. In a power transmission apparatus, the two resonance devices are provided. The open end of the waveguide of one resonance device and the open end of the waveguide of the other resonance device are disposed opposite each other. Power, which is input to an excitation structure of one resonance device, is output from an excitation structure of the other resonance device.

Power transmission apparatus and method, and resonance device used therein

In a dielectric filter () for base station communication equipment, a rectangular solid dielectric block () is provided with a plurality of &#xbc; wavelength resonators (A-AB-B), which are arranged along side planes () of the dielectric block and extend in parallel to each other and to the side planes (). The dielectric block () is composed of dielectric ceramics having a relative dielectric constant of 5-20, and a size (H) in a direction orthogonally intersecting with the side planes () of the dielectric block () is 10-30 mm.

Dielectric filter for base station communication equipment

A dielectric filter having a plurality of .lambda./4 coaxial dielectric resonators in stages, the resonator being filled with a dielectric material between its inner and outer conductors, comprising at least one stage in which the outer conductor of the .lambda./4 coaxial dielectric resonator is grounded via a capacitance or inductance. The dielectric filter is embodied as a low-pass filter, high-pass filter or a band-pass filter. As a result, by utilizing dielectric resonators having a desired resonant frequency, it is possible to readily achieve a dielectric filter having an attenuating pole in the neighborhood of the frequency passband and small in insertion loss.
