A wristwatch having a sound-emitting device or alarm therein includes a watch case, a cover glass and a case back. The sound-emitting device is mounted in the watch case from the back side in a mounting opening formed in the watch case. The watch case is formed with a sound-emitting aperture on the top surface over at least a portion of the mounting opening of smaller size than the mounting opening.

A digital watch case which includes a cylindrical watch barrel, glass cover, glass sealing means and parting plate mounted from the upper end of the barrel, and a back cover mounted from the opposite end. The watch case is characterized in that the thickness of the watch shell is reduced by providing a receiving surface on a flange of the barrel which extends inside the outer surface of the glass cover. The parting plate supports the glass cover and covers the watch body except for the display area. The back cover is secured to the watch shell by a radial spring means attached to the watch back. Packing means are supported on the back cover to engage compressively with the under horizontal surface of the flange and the back cover.

Digital watch case

A waterproof watch case construction depends on gaskets alone for waterproofing and is free of cement. The construction is such that a broken crystal can be readily replaced, and the watch case itself can be of any shape, including square, ovoid and hexagonal, as well as circular. The watch crystal is located positively by means of a bezel and a ring which compress a gasket both axially and radially against the watch crystal.

Waterproof watch case

A watch case in which a bezel of a crystal and a case band are removably secured together by engagement of a plate spring secured to the bezel with an inclined surface of the case band. A waterproof relation can be obtained between the bezel and the case band by providing a gasket between the bezel and the case band. The plate opening has one portion secured in a recess of the bezel and a bent portion engaging the inclined surface.

Mounting of a case band and a crystal bezel in a watch

A water-tight watch case construction is provided which includes a case body, a crystal mounted in one end of the case body, and a back cover connected to the other end thereof. The crystal is provided with a beveled top edge and a vertical surface between the top and under surfaces thereof. The portion of the case body adjacent the vertical surface of the crystal is recessed for thereby defining a gasket seat and a peripheral flange overlying the beveled edge of the crystal. A gasket is mounted in the gasket seat and the vertical edge of the crystal is compressively engaged therewith. Underlying the crystal is a supporting flange releasably mounted in the case body for supporting the crystal along a marginal portion of the underside surface thereof. Releasably securing the supporting flange in position is a supporting frame connected to the dial assembly of the watch which is provided with an elbow abutting a relief provided on the back cover of the watch. The case body and back cover of the watch are respectively provided with corresponding threads and the back cover is threadably connected to the case body for thereby engaging the relief provided in the back cover against the supporting frame for the crystal support flange.
