A plunger seal and a backup ring are provided at a portion of a pump chamber through which a plunger is inserted. A back face of the backup ring is supported on a wall face of a cleaning chamber. The backup ring is a combined backup ring including two resin layers, i.e., a deformable resin layer and a non-deformable resin layer. A face of the backup ring in contact with the plunger seal is made up of a face of the deformable resin layer and an inner peripheral face is made up of a face of the non-deformable resin layer. The deformable resin layer has a higher elastic modulus than the plunger seal and having such an elastic modulus as to be able to absorb deformation of the plunger seal. The non-deformable resin layer has a higher elastic modulus than resin of the deformable resin layer.

Solvent delivery pump plunger backup seal

A plunger seal has a cylindrical protruding portion on its front face. A base end portion of the protruding portion has a recessed curved shape having a certain curvature. In a portion of a pump head, where the plunger seal is mounted, a seal insertion portion into which the protruding portion of the plunger seal is to be fitted is formed as a cylindrical recessed portion. An opening edge portion of the seal insertion portion has a protruding curved shape having the same curvature as the base end portion of the protruding portion of the plunger seal.

Solvent delivery pump

A plurality of suctioning flow paths for suctioning mobile phases meet each other at a meeting portion. The meeting portion is connected to an inlet flow path communicating with an inlet of a reciprocating pump. The suctioning flow paths are respectively provided with solenoid valves for opening and closing the respective flow paths. The suctioning flow paths are respectively provided with orifices between the solenoid valves and the meeting portion. The orifices are sections of the respective suctioning flow paths having smaller diameters.

Low-pressure gradient device

A cleaning chamber is provided in a seal holder and two cleaning chamber flow paths communicating with the cleaning chamber from outside are provided. A pipe connected to a vessel storing a mobile phase is connected to one of the cleaning chamber flow paths. A pipe as a flow path connected to a mobile phase sucking flow path into a pump chamber is connected to the other cleaning chamber flow path. When the mobile phase is taken in, the mobile phase is sucked into the pump chamber via the cleaning chamber.

Solvent delivery pump and liquid chromatograph

A check valve capable of improving the tightness between a sphere and a valve seat and suppressing the sinking is provided, so as to provide a liquid chromatography infusion pump enabling a high precision infusion even if in a low flow rate region. On a surface, contacted with the sphere, on the valve seatof the check valve, a rimis disposed around a through holein the center of the valve seat. The rimis formed as a boundary between a concave spherical surface of a diameter &#x3a6;and a concave spherical surface of a diameter &#x3a6;disposed as concentric circles with the through hole. When the sphere of a diameter &#x3a6;B abuts against the valve seat, the sphereabuts against the valve seatat the annular rimin a line contact according to a relation of &#x3a6;&#x3e;&#x3a6;B&#x3e;&#x3a6;

Check valve, infusion device using the same, and method of manufacturing the same

Operability and lifespan of a drain valve of an operated infusion device are improved when changing the composition of a transported solution or releasing the pressure. A sealing portion and a shaft portion of the valve are constructed to be separated from each other. The shaft portion is disposed with a through hole having a step. A screw passes through the through hole, such that a screw portion of the screw is screwed to the sealing portion, and on the other hand, a screw head is fastened to the step portion of the through hole of the shaft portion. The sealing portion and the shaft portion can ensure a degree of freedom of rotation while maintaining a fixed position relationship there-between, thereby preventing the sealing portion from falling off and prolonging the lifespan of a valve body.

Valve and infusion device having the same

Three metal plate materials, each having penetration holes, are united together in this order as a set at such positions that penetration holes can penetrate through the three metal plate materials so as to form a mixing portion. A plurality of sets, each having the mixing portion, are integrated together at such positions that all of the penetration holes can penetrate through the respective sets of plate materials. The mixing portions of the respective sets are connected in parallel to one another.
