A vehicle light is provided which can prevent the accumulation of assembly errors during the assembling of separate optical components. The vehicle light can include a first heat sink having a first heat sink body and a first heat radiation fin, and a first optical system configured to form a part of a predetermined light distribution pattern. The first optical system can include a first LED light source, a first reflector configured to reflect light emitted from the first LED light source, and a projection lens configured to allow light reflected from the first reflector to pass therethrough. The first LED light source, the first reflector, and the projection lens can be secured to an upper surface of the first heat sink body.

Vehicle light

A projector headlight for a low beam can include a light source, an ellipsoidal reflector, a projector lens and a shade. Light emitted from the light source can form a fundamental light distribution pattern from the projector lens via the ellipsoidal reflector by shielding an upward portion of the light with the shade. The shade can form a blurred part on a horizontal cut-off line using a radiused R surface between a top and front edge lines of the shade. Therefore, a contrasting difference between the upper and lower sides of the horizontal cut-off line can be reduced so as to be able to conform to a light distribution standard for a headlight. The R surface can be configured with a reflex surface or a non-reflex surface to match the light source. Thus, the projector headlight can perform a favorable light distribution pattern utilizing a simple structure.

Vehicle headlight

A light can be configured by assembling an additional optical system in a lower optical system in a period of time that can be shorter than that of the conventional case. The vehicle light can include a first optical system configured to form a part of a predetermined light distribution pattern, and a second optical system disposed adjacent to the first optical system and configured to form a part of the predetermined light distribution pattern. The second optical system can include a light source, and a reflector including a first reflecting surface, a second reflecting surface, and a third reflecting surface. The reflector can be integrally formed with the first reflecting surface, the second reflecting surface, and the third reflecting surface.

A projector type vehicle light is provided that can reduce temperature increase of a solenoid due to heat generated by a light source, while a shade and a projection lens can be disposed closer to each other. The vehicle light can be formed as a headlight and can include a light source, a reflector, a shade, and a projection lens. The projector type vehicle light can further include a shade rotational shaft extending in a left-to-right direction, a base member configured to support the shade so that the shade can rotate around the shade rotational shaft, a solenoid for making the shade rotate between a low-beam position and a high-beam position, and a crank shaft configured to connect the solenoid with the shade for driving. The solenoid can be disposed just below the shade so that a moving direction of the plunger of the solenoid is aligned with the left-to-right direction of the projector type vehicle headlight.

Projector type vehicle light

A projector type vehicle light can have a decreased total weight and prevent the insufficiency in strength of a rotational shaft of a base member. The projector type vehicle light can include a light source, a reflector, a shade, and a projection lens. The vehicle light can further include a shade rotational shaft extending in the left-to-right direction, a base member configured so that the shade can rotate around the shade rotational shaft, a solenoid for making the shade rotate between a low-beam position and a high-beam position, and a crank shaft configured to connect the solenoid with the shade for driving the shade. The solenoid can be supported by the base member so that the plunger of the solenoid can move in the left-to-right direction. The lens holder can be made of a first material, such as a resin material, and the base member can be made from a second material, such as metal material.

Projector type vehicle light and method for manufacturing the same

A vehicle lamp can include a light source and a reflector whose first focal position lies in the vicinity of the light source, the reflector preferably includes a concave spheroidal surface that reflects light from the light source frontward. A projection lens can be disposed so that its focal point lies in the vicinity of a second focal position of the reflector in front of the light source, the projection lens including an aspherical convex lens that focuses light from the reflector and that irradiates the light frontward. A shutter can be disposed in the vicinity of the second focal position of the reflector, the shutter forming a cutoff for low light distribution. The shutter can be thickly formed so that it is positioned in front of the focal position of the projection lens, and the shutter can be slanted at an end edge that forms the cutoff so that the shutter becomes lower towards the projection lens in relation to the optical axis direction.

Vehicle lamp

A headlamp comprises an aiming adjustment device having an adjusting element for allowing the aiming adjustment, and an adjustment prevention mechanism for preventing any aiming adjustment by unauthorized workers. The adjustment prevention mechanism comprises an external rib which, having a tool insertion hole, forms part of a headlamp assembly and surrounds the adjusting element, and a cover member of which external wall fits to an internal wall of the external rib. Installation of the adjustment prevention mechanism is possible by means of a simple operation, namely, just by pushing the cover member into the external rib. The cover member is formed similarly to a cap so that the cover member covers all openings on the external rib. In addition, the cover member is provided with a fitting means to the adjusting element or the external rib, making it impossible to remove the cover member after it is mounted.

Headlamp

An adjustment prevention mechanism includes a fixing member provided to a part of a headlamp, and a moving member which is movable to an adjustment position and a shipping position relative to the fixing member and covers the adjusting member. The fixing member includes a tool guide, a moving member guide and a stopper. The moving member has a tool insertion hole which permits a tool to reach the adjusting element in accordance with the tool guide in the fixing member when the moving member is in the adjustment position, and prevents the tool from reaching the adjusting element when the moving member is in the shipping position. This adjustment prevention mechanism is attachable to the headlamp prior to mount the headlamp on an automobile.
