A urethane bumper spring is produced from a urethane raw material containing a polyester-based polyol as a polyol component and diphenylmethane diisocyanate as an isocyanate component, and includes: a skin layer; and a core portion, in which the skin layer has a density (Da) and a foamed cell diameter (Ra), and the core portion has a density (Db) and a foamed cell diameter (Rb). The density (Da), the foamed cell diameter (Ra), the density (Db), and the foamed cell diameter (Rb) satisfy relationships shown in the following expressions: 1.0&#x2264;Da/Db&#x3c;1.34 (1) and 0.53&#x3c;Ra/Rb&#x2264;1.0 (2). Accordingly, the urethane bumper spring can achieve a cost reduction while having durability and settling resistance under high load and high deformation.

A protective cover including a bellows portion wherein a plurality of valleys and peaks are arranged alternately. The valleys include a plurality of large valleys and a plurality of intermediate valleys whose inside and outside diameter dimensions at bottoms are greater than those of the large valleys, and the large valleys and the intermediate valleys are arranged alternately. Small valleys whose inside and outside diameter dimensions at bottoms are greater than those of the intermediate valleys are respectively arranged between the large valleys and the intermediate valleys. The peaks are respectively arranged between the large valleys and the small valleys as well as between the intermediate valleys and the small valleys, and apexes of the peaks have a same outside diameter dimension as one another. The apexes of the peaks are made thinner than the bottoms of the large valleys.

An upper support for vehicle suspension including: an inner cylindrical member; an outer cylindrical member spaced apart peripherally outward from the inner cylindrical member; a rubber elastic body interposed between the inner cylindrical member and the outer cylindrical member while elastically connecting the two members; and a flange portion extending radially outward from the outer cylindrical member while being adapted to be overlapped and fixed onto a mounting portion of a vehicle body. A fastening seat portion is provided to the flange portion over a prescribed area and has a contact face adapted to be in contact against the mounting portion of the vehicle body. A concave/convex portion is formed on the contact face of the fastening seat portion over a prescribed area thereof.

To provide a toe correct bush having excellent durability and a novel structure, the toe correct bush effectively achieving improvement in running stability during steering with a toe correction function and improvement in straight line performance with an intermediate restraining plate. A first intermediate restraining member is provided between opposing surfaces of an inner inclined portion and an outer inclined portion and is fixed to a compression rubber, the first intermediate restraining member spreading and being isolated from the opposing surfaces of the inner inclined portion and the outer inclined portion. A second intermediate restraining member is provided independent from the first intermediate restraining member between opposing surfaces of an inner flange and an outer flange and is fixed to a connecting rubber, the second intermediate restraining member spreading and being isolated from the opposing surfaces of the inner flange and the outer flange.

An upper mount in a suspension system of an automotive vehicle, including a metal housing, a cylindrical body accommodated in the housing, and an outer metal sleeve bonded to the outer circumferential surface of the elastic body and fitted in the housing, wherein the elastic body has an annular sealing lip integrally formed of a rubber material and located radially outwardly of a central opening formed through an upper wall portion of the housing such that the sealing lip is held in pressing contact with an inner surface of the upward wall portion or a cylindrical wall portion of the housing, for preventing a flow of an aqueous component such as water from the central opening to the outer metal sleeve.

A method of producing a dust cover assembly comprising the steps of: preparing a fixing member having a mounting bore to be fitted on a shock absorber's piston rod, and an engaging portion formed in its outer circumferential surface as an axially undercut portion; preparing a tubular parison having a large diameter portion at its one axial end portion; positioning the large diameter portion to be disposed radially outwardly of the outer circumferential surface of the fixing member; closing a blow mold to form a mold cavity around the parison and to hold the large diameter portion of the parison in close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the fixing member; and blow molding the parison by introducing a compressed gas into the blow mold through the mounting bore, thereby molding the dust cover. A dust cover assembly and a shock absorber equipped with the dust cover assembly are also disclosed.

Dust cover assembly and method of producing the same

A fluid -filled elastic bushing wherein an elastic body elastically connecting a center shaft member and an outer cylindrical member is provided a displacement restrictor including a stop portion extending from one of the center shaft and outer cylindrical members toward the other member, to restrict an amount of radial displacement of these two members. The stop portion includes an abutting part opposed to the other member with a first radial spacing therebetween, and a shoulder surface adjacent to the abutting part. The displacement restrictor further includes a buffer layer disposed in close contact with the shoulder surface and made of an elastic material whose stiffness is lower than a material of the abutting part. The buffer layer is opposed to the above-indicated other member with a second radial spacing therebetween smaller than the first radial spacing.
