A metering device activated by a user induced airstream for an inhalation of a medicinal substance. The device includes: a closure cap; a piston; a mouthpiece; and an annular chamber disposed upstream of the mouthpiece. A storage chamber stores the substance which can be moved out of the storage chamber when the closure cap is removed. A metering rod for removing the medicinal substance out of the storage chamber into an emptying-standby position. In the emptying-standby position, the metering chamber is closed by the piston. The piston is displaceable by airstream into an emptying-release position. In the emptying-release position, a metering chamber is released and the substance removed by the suction airstream. The metering device includes an outer cylinder which accommodates an inner cylinder.

Metering device for the inhalation of a pulverulent substance

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhalation. The invention is further directed to a method for setting the performance characteristics of such a pharmaceutical composition and the use of such a composition in the treatment of asthma, COPD, allergies, infectious diseases and diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Pharmaceutical composition for inhalation

A dosing device generating a gas flow with an active substance finely dispersed, with a first gas flow channel and with a dosing chamber that can be fitted in the area of the first gas flow channel, and a dosing chamber release mechanism with a separating element. The first gas flow channel and/or a connection between the first gas flow channel and the dosing chamber is blocked when the separating element is in a closed position. The first gas flow channel and/or the connection between the first gas flow channel and the dosing chamber is freed when the separating element is in an open position. A slide guide element can be driven by the under-pressure applied to the mouthpiece. The separating element and/or the slide guide element is provided with a slide element that influences the sliding friction properties.

Dosing device for generating a gas flow with a finely dispersed active substance

A dosing device can be activated by a vacuum air stream of a user for the inhalation of a powder substance, particularly medicine, which is arranged in a supply chamber and which can be brought out of the same into an open emptying-ready position by a dosing chamber of a dosing rod when the mouthpiece-closure cap is removed. In particular, in order to improve dispensing, the provision of two air paths, of which one serves to open and empty the dosing chamber, and/or the second air path penetrates directly into a ring chamber in order to mix with the air flow containing the substance.

A metering device can be activated by a suction airflow of a user for inhaling a powdery substance, in particular of medicinal type, which is arranged in a supply chamber and can be brought out of there into an apparent discharge standby position by removing a mouthpiece sealing cap by a metering chamber of a metering rod. The metering device provides piston-extensible tabs for sealing off the metering chamber, particularly for the facilitated opening of the metering chamber.
