A ball-type water sprinkler includes a ball freely movable within a chamber formed in a rotor and having two water inlets oriented to direct the water to flow circumferentially of the chamber in opposite directions, an impact element fixed to the rotor so as to be impacted by the ball and to rotate the rotor according to the direction of rotation of the ball; a fixed stop fixed with respect to a mounting device; and a presettable stop circumferentially presettable with respect to the fixed stop and carried by a rotatable ring interposed between the mounting device and the rotor.

Ball-type water sprinkler

A static, sector-type water sprinkler producing a variable-sector water-distribution pattern includes an outlet opening in the form of a helical slot having an effective length around the circumference of its housing which may be varied for preselecting the sector angle of the water distribution around the sprinkler, and a blocking member engageable with the inner surface of the housing on opposite sides of the slot to preselect the portion thereof to be unblocked and thereby the sector angle of the water distribution around the sprinkler.

Static sector-type water sprinkler

A drip irrigation unit for insertion into a water supply pipe for reducing the flow through an outlet opening in the water supply pipe, includes a cylindrical member of a deformable elastomeric material fixed within the water supply pipe. The cylindrical member is formed with an inlet opening therethrough for conducting water from the interior of the water supply pipe to the outer face of the cylindrical member, and an outlet cavity in the outer face of the cylindrical member alignable with the outlet opening in the water supply pipe. A regulated flow-reducing pathway between the inlet opening and outlet cavity includes multiple, series-connected pressure-compensating chambers whose cross-sectional areas are changed by the deformation of the elastomeric cylindrical member to regulate the flow of the water in response to changes in the water supply pressure.

Drip irrigation apparatus

A static, sector-type water sprinkler producing a variable-sector water-distribution pattern, includes an outlet opening having an effective length around the circumference of its housing which may be manually varied for preselecting the sector angle of the water distribution around the sprinkler. The outlet opening is defined by a helical slot, and its effective lenth is varied by a blocking member which is manually movable with respect to the slot to preselect the portion thereof to be unblocked, and thereby the sector angle of the water to be distributed around the sprinkler.

A gear drive sprinkler includes a fixed ring gear fixed to the sprinkler housing and having a circular array of teeth; a rotatable ring grear coupled to the sprinkler nozzle and having a circular array of teeth coaxial with, but of a different number than, the teeth of the fixed ring gear; and a planetary gear rotated by the sprinkler drive and having a circular array of teeth meshing with the teeth of both ring gears so as to planetate around both ring gears and thereby to rotate the rotatable ring gear at an angular velocity corresponding to the difference in the number of teeth in the two ring gears.

Gear drive sprinkler

A moisture-responsive valve assembly includes a housing having a moisture-swellable body to swell in volume in response to soil moisture, and a bi-stable snap-action device for controlling the valve in response to the volume of the moisture-swellable body. The valve assembly further includes a damped delay mechanism effective to close the valve after it has been open for a predetermined period of time.
