An electric heater includes a substrate; and a first plane heating element disposed on one surface of the substrate, in which the first plane heating element includes a first track; a second track spaced apart from the first track; and a third track spaced apart from the second track. At least a portion of the second track is located between the first track and the third track, and the first track and the second track are connected by a first bridge, where the first bridge includes a first outer protrusion protruding toward the third track. The third track is formed with a curved portion which protrudes in an outward direction, and the first outer protrusion faces an inside of the curved portion in the outward direction and is spaced apart from the curved portion.

Discussed are a surface type heating element which generates heat using electricity and a method of manufacturing the surface type heating element. The surface type heating element includes a NiCr alloy and has an oxygen content of 1 to 4 wt %, so that it can be used even at a high operating temperature of 400&#xb0; C. or more, suppresses the elution of the material itself, has high fracture toughness, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and heat resistance, and furthermore, ensures conductivity by having improved adhesive strength with respect to at least one of a substrate and an insulating layer, and controlled electrical resistivity.

The present invention provides a method for the manufacture of transition metal oxide fine particles, the method comprising the steps of: heating a strong-alkaline aqueous solution while stirring same; adding to and dissolving in the heated strong-alkaline aqueous solution a transition metal oxide; adding a strong-acid aqueous solution to the strong alkaline aqueous solution in which the transition metal oxide is dissolved, while stirring same, thereby re-dissolving a solid generated at the interface between the strong-alkaline aqueous solution and the strong-acid aqueous solution; adjusting the pH of the mixed aqueous solution resulting from mixing the strong-alkaline aqueous solution and the strong acid aqueous solution, through adjustment of the adding rate and amount of the strong-acid aqueous solution, to precipitate transition metal oxide fine particles; and separating the transition metal oxide fine particles from the mixed aqueous solution and sequentially washing, drying, and thermally treating the separated transition metal oxide fine particles.
