A touch display device is disclosed that divides an active area into a reference touch area and a non-reference touch area and independently drives touch electrode lines positioned in the reference touch area and touch electrode lines positioned in the non-reference touch area. Touch sensing performance is enhanced while preventing or reducing signal distortion due to a difference in unit touch sensors in the reference touch area and the non-reference touch area.

Embodiments of the disclosure may insert a break period when the gate line is not driven, such as a blank period, of an active period of a frame period and perform touch sensing, driven in the same manner as touch sensing driven in the blank period, in the break period, thereby reducing the influence of display driving on touch sensing and enhancing touch sensing performance.

A method for sensing contactless touch using a touch sensor structure that senses contacting touch by operating some of touch electrode lines operating as touch driving electrodes and some of touch electrode lines operating as touch sensing electrodes upon contacting touch driving, as touch driving electrodes for sensing contactless touch, in a contactless touch driving period distinct from a contacting touch driving period.

The present disclosure is directed to a touch display device that is capable of reducing a load of a touch sensor structure disposed in a display panel and improving the accuracy of touch sensing capabilities of the touch display device. In one aspect, touch electrode lines disposed on an active area are disposed to be separated into a plurality of sub-areas. A number of touch routing lines connected to the touch electrode lines are disposed on the active area, thus a touch sensor structure with a reduced load can be provided while minimizing an increase of a non-active area due to an arrangement of the touch routing lines.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are related to a touch display device, in a structure that a touch electrode line is disposed to be divided on a plurality of sub-areas included in an active area, by synchronizing a driving of the touch electrode line adjacent to a boundary of the sub-area, or by performing a differential sensing processing by sharing a touch sensing signal detected from the touch electrode line, thus an accuracy of a touch sensing for an area adjacent to the boundary of the sub-area can be improved.

Disclosed is a display device having a reduced bezel area. The display device includes a plurality of touch lines electrically connected to a plurality of touch electrodes and display link lines electrically connected to a light-emitting element, the display link lines being disposed in a non-active area of a substrate, wherein a minimum of M touch lines (M being a natural number greater than 1 and less than N) is disposed with respect to a minimum of N display link lines (N being a natural number greater than 1), among the plurality of display link lines, in the non-active area. Consequently, a narrow bezel may be realized.

Disclosed is a touch display device capable of reducing deterioration in touch performance. The touch display device includes a plurality of first touch electrodes disposed in an active area of a substrate and a plurality of second touch electrodes disposed in the active area of the substrate, the plurality of second touch electrodes having different shapes from the plurality of first touch electrodes, wherein at least one of the plurality of second touch electrodes is formed by connecting at least two sub-electrodes having smaller areas than each of the first touch electrodes to each other. Consequently, the areas of the first and second touch electrodes are similar to each other, whereby it is possible to reduce touch performance deteriorated due to deviation in area between the touch electrodes.

A display device includes a deviation compensating circuit to receive a feedback touch driving signal from a sensor line connected to one of a plurality of touch sensor, receive a first feedback AC (alternating current) signal from a data line connected to one of a plurality of pixels, receive a second feedback AC signal from a gate line connected to the pixels, detect a phase deviation and an amplitude deviation between the feedback touch driving signal and the first and the second feedback AC signals, and generate a compensation touch driving signal, a first compensation AC signal, and a second compensation AC signal for compensating for the phase deviation and the amplitude deviation.

The present disclosure is related to a touch sensing system and a display apparatus decreasing a sensing time and enabling an effective touch sensing, although a number of sensing electrodes increases according to an increase of an area of a touch panel.

A touch sensing device includes a touch screen including Tx lines, Rx lines crossing the Tx lines, and touch sensors formed between the Tx lines and the Rx lines, and a touch screen driving circuit which senses all the touch sensors of the touch screen in a first sensing step to detect the presence or absence of a touch input, and then again senses the touch sensors, in which the touch input is detected as a first sensing result, in a second sensing step to detect a position of the touch input. When there is no touch sensor, in which the touch input is detected as the first sensing result, the touch screen driving circuit repeats the first sensing step.
