An instrument panel for vehicles includes a substrate and a an airbag door assembly having one or more gaps forming openings. The substrate includes a breakaway web below the airbag door assembly. An upper skin extends over a portion of the substrate and the airbag door assembly. Foam is disposed between the substrate and the upper skin. An airbag module is positioned below the breakaway web. When deployed, the airbag causes the breakaway web and foam above the airbag door assembly to rupture.

An apparatus and method, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a table that is moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The table extends behind an external surface of an instrument panel such that the table is stored within an instrument panel structure when in the stowed position. When in the deployed position, the table is moveable between a plurality of use positions between a driver and a passenger.

A vehicle storage compartment is provided having a housing defining an outer casing and an inner storage space and a shelf disposed within the inner storage space such that the storage space is effectively divided into multiple storage compartments. A light source is operably coupled to the outer casing at an aperture opening into the storage space. The light source is divided by the shelf assembly and positioned to provide light illumination to the multiple storage compartments, as the light source is partially disposed in each of the multiple storage compartments.

Light module for upper and lower glove box bin

An upper glove box for the passenger side of an automotive vehicle in which a door is upwardly hinged and has an upper edge that is received into a void defined in the instrument panel when the door is opened. The revealed wall forward of the opening of the void is an integral portion of the foam injected instrument panel to provide the desired aesthetics.
