An image forming apparatus including: a first body; a second body to pivot between a closed position and an open position in relation to the first body; a guide lever member to control a pivoting of the second body and having a first end connected to one of the first body and the second body, and a second end, opposite the first end; and a guide rail member including: a guide rail along which the second end of the guide lever member is slidably connected. The guide rail member includes a first pressing portion to constrain the second end of the guide lever member in the open position of the second body, and a second pressing portion to prevent the second body from abruptly closing while the second body is being closed.

An image forming apparatus includes a developing part having a developing process roller and a position restricting protrusion; a main body having an installation part to install the developing part and a roller driving part driving the developing part; a position restricting groove part to engage the position restricting protrusion so that the developing process roller engages the roller driving part when the developing part is installed; a first rotation supporting part between the installation and developing parts to be positioned at a first position when the developing part is installed to the installation part, and supporting the developing part so that the position restricting protrusion detaches from the position restricting groove part; and a second rotation supporting part between the installation and developing parts to be positioned at a second position and supporting the developing part so that the position restricting protrusion detaches from the position restricting groove part.

A wet-type electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises a main body, a developing unit disposed inside the main body, a developer cartridge for providing developer to and collecting developer from the developing unit, and a fitting unit for connecting the developer cartridge with the developing unit. The fitting unit comprises a first fitting part disposed in the main body, a second fitting part disposed in the developer cartridge, and a third fitting part disposed in the developing unit. The fitting unit is connected to and disconnected from the second and third fitting parts by raising and lowering the parts. The method of setting up the system includes the step of raising a first female fitting part to connect first and second female fitting parts with a male fitting part.

Wet-type electrophotographic image forming apparatus and a setting method thereof

A developer cartridge having a developer cartridge body with a fitting part is coupled to a developer supply path connected to a developing unit. A fitting part shutter unit is detachably mounted to the developer cartridge body and moved by an external force to move between a first position covering the fitting part and a second position expositing the fitting part.

Developer cartridge having a movable cover and liquid-type image forming apparatus

Disclosed are a sludge prevention apparatus of a tube member and an image forming apparatus provided with such a sludge prevention apparatus. The sludge prevention apparatus comprises a sludge stirring member located in a tube member to be movable, so that the sludge stirring member stirs the developer sludge deposited or as being deposited in the tube member, the liquid developer being discharged from or flowing into a developer storage chamber through the tube member; and an operating member installed in the developer storage chamber to correspond to the sludge stirring member in such a manner that the operating member operates the sludge stirring member to stir the developer sludge. The sludge prevention apparatus and the image forming apparatus with the same can prevent the tube member from being blocked by the developer sludge deposited in the tube member. As a result, it is possible to substantially reduce poor feeding of developer caused by the blockage of the tube member and hence substantially reduce or eliminate poor printing and/or pollution of developer.
