A vehicle according to one or more example embodiments includes a camera having an external field of view and acquire image data for detecting a target object in the external field of view of the camera, a radar having an external field of view from the vehicle and acquire radar data for detecting the target object in the external field of view of the radar, and a controller including at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to process the image data and the radar data to yield a processing result, and control, based on the processing result, at least one of a braking device or a steering device. The controller may be configured to detect the target object traveling in a lane adjacent to the vehicle, detect an obstacle preceding the target object, and perform acceleration control or deceleration control based on detecting acceleration or deceleration of the target object.

Vehicle and control method thereof

A vehicle includes: a sensor configured to detect an obstacle of a front side of the vehicle to obtain at least one of position information or speed information of the obstacle; a lane detector configured to detect a lane on which the vehicle is located; and a controller configured to calculate a first lateral movement distance for the vehicle to avoid an obstacle through steering, to determine a steering-based avoidance path for the obstacle based on the first lateral movement distance, to determine whether to depart the lane on the steering-based avoidance path, and to control the vehicle to perform steering avoidance control when the vehicle does not depart the lane.

Vehicle and method for steering avoidance control

A vehicle and method for controlling the same are provided. The vehicle includes a speed detector that detects driving speed of the vehicle, a detection sensor that obtains information regarding at least one of a position and a speed of an object around the vehicle, and a yaw rate detector that detects a speed at which a rotation angle of the vehicle's frame is changed while the vehicle is driven. A controller then determines a yaw rate required for the vehicle to steer to avoid the object, applies partial braking on an inner wheel of the vehicle based on the determined yaw rate, and applies partial braking on an outer wheel of the vehicle to reduce a beta value of the vehicle obtained during the steering-based avoidance when the beta value exceeds a predetermined value.

Vehicle and method for controlling the same

A vehicle predicts acceleration or deceleration of another vehicle based on the state of a traffic light, and determines the risk of collision based on the predicted acceleration or deceleration of the another vehicle. The vehicle includes a communication device that receives traffic light state information from a road infrastructure, a radar that senses the speed of the another vehicle traveling in a direction intersecting with a traveling direction of the vehicle, and a controller that determines the probability of collision with the another vehicle by using the traffic light state information received by the communication device and the speed information of the another vehicle detected by the radar.

A vehicle includes a speed detector for detecting a driving speed of the vehicle, a sensor for detecting a target vehicle driving in a target lane into which the vehicle is to change lanes, and a controller for determining an acceleration of the vehicle based on a change amount of the driving speed detected at the time of the vehicle changing lanes, for calculating a time to collision (TTC) between the vehicle and the target vehicle when the lane change of the vehicle would be completed to the target lane based on the determined acceleration of the vehicle, and for transmitting a signal restricting the lane change of the vehicle based on the calculated time to collision.
