A brake pedal simulator including a simulator cylinder; a simulator piston within the simulator cylinder, a simulation chamber being defined between the simulator piston and a first end of the simulator cylinder; and an elastically deformable component and an adjusting component, the elastically deformable component being arranged between the simulator piston and the adjusting component and placed in a pre-deformed state by them, and the adjusting component being movable to change the amount of elastic deformation of the elastically deformable component so that it can assume a plurality of pre-deformed states and maintain the elastically deformable component in each of the plurality of pre-deformed states. A method and a system for monitoring wear of a braking frictional pad of a vehicle including a hydraulic brake device acting on a wheel thereof, the hydraulic brake device having a brake disc rotatable with the wheel and a braking frictional pad configured to be non-rotatable relative to the wheel and be linearly movable parallel to a rotational axis of the wheel, the system including: a record module configured to record a time required by the hydraulic brake device for establishing a brake hydraulic pressure when the vehicle is parked; and an electrical control unit in data communication with the record module and configured to compare the time required for establishing the brake hydraulic pressure with a time required by the same hydraulic brake device for establishing the brake hydraulic pressure and recorded when the braking frictional pad is brand new, so as to determine the wear state of the braking frictional pad.

A method and a system for monitoring wear of a braking frictional pad of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle including a brake device acting on a vehicle wheel, the brake device including a braking frictional pad that is non-rotatable relative to the vehicle wheel and is linearly movable parallel to a rotational axis of the vehicle wheel; a brake piston configured to drive the braking frictional pad; and an electric parking brake or an electric mechanical brake, the electric parking brake or the electric mechanical brake having a drive motor and a piston driving part driven by the drive motor to be linearly movable, the piston driving part being configured to, when the motor vehicle is braking, drive the brake piston to contact the braking frictional pad and in turn drive the braking frictional pad to move.

A method and a system for monitoring wear of a braking frictional pad of a motor vehicle, includes stopping the motor vehicle stably on a horizontal or substantially horizontal plane; determining a current fluid level in a brake fluid reservoir; determining a volume difference (ΔV) of the brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir by comparing the determined current fluid level with a predetermined reference fluid level; when a thickness loss of a braking frictional pad equipped for a front vehicle wheel or a rear vehicle wheel is known, determining a thickness loss of a braking frictional pad assigned for the other front vehicle wheel or the other rear vehicle wheel based on the volume difference of the brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir and a diameter of a brake piston of the respective brake device.

A brake system comprising a brake disc, a wheel hub connected to the brake disc, and a bearing assembly mounted around the wheel hub, the brake system further comprising: a first electric circuit embedded inside the brake disc; a second electric circuit embedded inside the wheel hub and electrically connected with the first electric circuit; and a third electric circuit embedded inside the bearing assembly and electrically connected with the second electric circuit, wherein when an electric current flows to the first electric circuit through the second and third electric circuits, the first electric circuit generates heat for applying to the brake disc.
