A resource determining method and an apparatus are disclosed. A network device determines a resource of an uplink channel. A terminal device receives downlink control information (DCI) sent by the network device, where the DCI is carried on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The terminal device determines the resource of the uplink channel based on the DCI, where the resource of the uplink channel is used to send uplink information. As a result, a latency of sending the uplink information is reduced.

This application discloses methods and apparatuses for sending a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and relates to the communication field. A network device sends indication information to a terminal device, where the indication information is used to indicate first information and second information. The first information is used to indicate first precoding information corresponding to a first nominal PUSCH repetition. The second information is used to indicate second precoding information corresponding to a second nominal PUSCH repetition. The terminal device sends N PUSCHs based on precoding information indicated by the indication information. The power requirements of user equipments (UEs) are expected to increase as their capabilities increase. Some power saving methods have previously been proposed, but are limited by the radio resource control (RRC) protocol and do not address the power consumption associated with having to transition between different RRC states. Within that single RRC state, there are different modes of operation, e.g. a default low power operation mode and an enhanced power operation mode. In some embodiments, the UE switches from the default operation mode to the enhanced operation mode on an on-demand basis (e.g. based on the communication capability required by the UE), and then returns back to the default operation mode.
