Aspects of the disclosure provide an apparatus that includes a receiving circuit and a processing circuit. The receiving circuit is configured to receive a satellite signal transmitted from a satellite. The satellite signal carries navigation bits that are transmitted with a navigation bit length. The processing circuit is configured to construct aiding navigation bits based on aiding ephemeris and almanac information that are provided by an aiding source other than the satellite signal. Further, the processing circuit is configured to strip the navigation bits from the satellite signal based on the aiding navigation bits to generate a post-stripping signal, and perform an integration on the post-stripping signal.

Method and apparatus for positioning

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method of determining frame timing of one or more signals from one or more respective transmitters. The method determining first observation windows that correspond to first candidate segments of the one or more signals; calculating a first set of accumulated signal patterns, each accumulated signal pattern of the first set of accumulated signal patterns being calculated based on signal patterns in a respective subset of the first candidate segments of the one or more signals; determining whether a first set of accumulated synchronization words derived from the first set of accumulated signal patterns is consistent with a first set of corresponding benchmark synchronization words; and determining the frame timing of the one or more signals based on timing of the first observation windows when the first set of accumulated synchronization words is consistent with the first set of corresponding benchmark synchronization words.

Method and apparatus for determining frame timing

Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for multi-path interference detection. The method includes receiving, by a positioning device, a satellite signal transmitted from a satellite. The satellite signal carries a ranging code. Further, the method includes locking an internal code generated by the positioning device to the ranging code, determining characteristics of correlations between the satellite signal and the internal code with different time shifts, and detecting satellite signal deterioration due to multi-path interference based on the characteristics of the correlations between the satellite signal and the internal code with different time shifts.

Method and apparatus for multipath detection

A receiver including a plurality of correlators to receive a satellite signal having a line of sight (LOS) component and a multipath (MP) component and generate correlator results corresponding to the received satellite signal. The receiver includes a peak search module to identify frequency peaks in the received satellite signal based on the correlator results, a peak selection module to identify the LOS component of the received satellite signal based on the identified frequency peaks and at least one of a code phase error module to generate a code phase error corresponding to the identified LOS component and a carrier frequency error module to generate a carrier frequency error corresponding to the identified LOS component. The plurality of correlators are further to generate the correlator results based on at least one of the code phase error and the carrier frequency error.

System and method for improving GNSS receiver tracking loop performance under multipath signal interference

Aspects of the disclosure include a device for geo-fence monitoring. The device includes a first positioning circuit, a second positioning circuit, and a control circuit. The first positioning circuit is configured to determine a position of the device before becoming inactive. The second positioning circuit is configured to determine an estimated distance that the device travels relative to the position. The control circuit is configured to reactivate the first positioning circuit when the estimated distance exceeds a first predetermined threshold and a difference between a current wireless fingerprint and a previous wireless fingerprint exceeds a second predetermined threshold.
