An ultrasonic probe includes a capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (cMUT) array configured to generate ultrasonic waves, an integrated circuit to which the cMUT array is bonded, and a flexible printed circuit board having one end connected to the integrated circuit to output signals to the integrated circuit, the integrated circuit including pads provided on the integrated circuit and an anisotropic conductive film (ACF) provided on the pads, and the one end of the flexible printed circuit board being connected to the ACF to thereby connect the flexible printed circuit board to the integrated circuit.

Ultrasonic probe and manufacturing method thereof

The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a passive component for an acoustic transducer, wherein a mixture of metal oxide filler with an epoxy resin is subjected to ultrasonic wave generated and followed by an addition of a hardener to cast the passive component for the acoustic transducer. Mixing the materials with the ultrasonic wave improves the dispersion of the metal oxide filler over conventional passive components, thus enabling the passive component to have uniform surfaces, resulting in improved sound velocity and attenuation characteristics with acoustic transducers that use the passive component manufactured by the present disclosure.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing a passive component for an acoustic transducer

The present disclosure provides a precise performance three-dimensional ultrasound scanner that is lightweight for an easy hold by suggesting a novel constitution of a swing mechanism wherein an arrangement of the drive motor perpendicular to the swing axis requires a smaller capacity motor and eliminating a backlash. The swing mechanism includes: an arm holder connected to a rotational axis of the motor; an arm connected to the arm holder so that the arm swings within a certain angular range; a link, attached to the arm, for moving in unison with the arm; a shaft, connected to the link, for transmitting a rotary power of the arm to the transducer unit. The swing mechanism can be operated using the smaller capacity motor and eliminates the need for a pulley, gear or belt eliminating backlashes to promote implementation of lightweight precision three-dimensional ultrasound scanners.
