This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a communication method and a communications apparatus. A terminal device receives first indication information from a network device, where the first indication information indicates an available frequency domain resource, in a bandwidth, which can be used by the terminal device to communicate with the network device. The bandwidth is one carrier bandwidth or one carrier bandwidth part. The available frequency domain resource includes a plurality of non-contiguous frequency domain resource groups, and each frequency domain resource group includes one or more contiguous frequency domain resource blocks. The terminal device determines the available frequency domain resource in the bandwidth based on the first indication information.

Communication method and communications apparatus using frequency domain resource groups

The technology of this application provides a control information transmission method, so that sizes of different downlink control information (DCI) can be aligned, thereby reducing types of DCI sizes and reducing power consumption when a terminal detects DCI. The method includes a terminal device detecting first DCI in a first search space, where the first DCI is used to indicate an active bandwidth part (BWP) of the terminal device, a size of the first DCI and a size of second DCI are aligned, the second DCI can be sent by a network device to the terminal device in a first common search space, and the second DCI is used to schedule a system message, a paging message, or a random access response (RAR).

Control information transmission method

This application provides an uplink signal sending method, an apparatus, and a system, and generally relates to the field of communications technologies. The uplink signal sending method includes obtaining first indication information, and determining, based on the first indication information, whether to send an uplink signal on a supplementary uplink (SUL) or an uplink (UL). The first indication information is used to indicate a SUL available time, and the SUL available time is a time in which an uplink signal can be sent on an SUL carrier in a preset period. The method is applied to a procedure in which an uplink signal is sent by using an uplink carrier, to improve flexibility in an uplink signal sending process.

Embodiments of this application provide a resource indication method and a communication device. The resource indication method includes: A first communication device receives first information sent by a second communication device, where the first information is used to indicate a first resource pattern and indicate a reserved resource determined by using the first resource pattern, the first resource pattern is used to determine a position corresponding to each of N resource sets, and N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. The first communication device determines reserved resource based on the positions corresponding to the N resource sets and indicated by the first resource pattern, where the reserved resource is a resource unavailable to the first communication device. The first communication device determines not to transmit a signal by using the reserved resource.

Embodiments of this application provide a random access response method and an apparatus. The method includes: RARs associated with one RO are transmitted based on groups, so that a transport block size of RAR data transmitted each time is reduced, and N bits in DCI format 1_0 of CRC are scrambled by using a RA-RNTI to indicate scheduling information of N RAR groups in a PDSCH. Alternatively, DCI format 1_0 of CRC is scrambled by using identifiers of RAR groups, to correspondingly schedule the RAR groups in the PDSCH. According to this application, a problem of a large transport block caused by a large quantity of RARs being transmitted in a PDSCH can be avoided, so that a modulation order or a bit rate is reduced, and demodulation performance of a terminal device is improved.

One example signal sending method includes a network device sending a first wake-up signal to indicate a terminal device to receive a first data channel, where the first data channel carries at least one of a paging message or a short message, and the short message indicates at least one of whether a system message changes or whether to receive earthquake and tsunami warning system (ETWS) information or commercial mobile alert service (CMAS) information. The first data channel is sent by the network device.

An apparatus includes one or more processors and a memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to receive a first wake-up signal.
