An irregular display panel and a display device are provided. A display region has an irregular boundary. The display panel includes low-luminance pixels, and normal pixels arranged away from the irregular boundary. The pixel rows and/or the pixel columns include pixel groups each including a first pixel group and a second pixel group. The number of pixels adjacent to the irregular boundary in the first pixel group is greater than that in the second pixel group, and the number of low-luminance pixels of the first pixel group is greater than or equal to that of the second pixel group. The pixel includes at least three sub pixels each including an electrode having at least one slit. The total slit lengths of the low-luminance pixels in a same pixel group increase gradually in a direction from the irregular boundary to the display region.

Irregular display panel and display device

A display panel comprises a display region, a non-display region, and a black matrix. The display region includes a plurality of pixels arranged in both a first direction and a second direction, where the plurality of pixels are arranged in the first direction to form a plurality of pixel rows and, meanwhile, arranged in the second direction to form a plurality of pixel columns, and a pixel includes a light-transmitting area. The black matrix does not overlap with the light-transmitting area. The display region includes at least one irregular edge intersecting both the first direction and the second direction. The plurality of pixels include a plurality of first pixels intersecting the at least one irregular edge and a plurality of second pixels without intersecting the at least one irregular edge, and the light-transmitting area of the first pixel is smaller than the light-transmitting area of the second pixel.

Display panel and display apparatus

A profiled display panel and a display device are provided. A display region of the profiled display panel has a profiled border. The profiled display panel includes a plurality of pixels including low-brightness pixels and regular pixels. Brightness of the low-brightness pixels is lower than brightness of the regular pixels under same driving voltage. The plurality of pixels forms a plurality of pixel rows extending in first direction and a plurality of pixel columns extending in second direction. Each of the pixel rows or the pixel columns includes at least one pixel group including the low-brightness pixels at one end of the pixel group and the regular pixels at the other end, and the regular pixels are arranged away from the profiled border. An aperture area of the respective low-brightness pixels in same pixel group is gradually increased in direction from the profiled border to the display region.

Profiled display panel and display device

A profiled display panel is provided, the display region thereof has profiled border. The profiled display panel comprises low-brightness pixels and regular pixels. The pixels form pixel rows and pixel columns. The pixel row or column comprises pixel group comprising first and second pixel group. The number of pixels adjacent to the profiled border in first pixel group is greater than that of in second pixel group. The number of the low-brightness pixels in first pixel group is greater than or equal to that of in second pixel group. The wiring direction of the data line is second direction. The pixel comprises at least three sub-pixels. An aperture height of the sub-pixels in the low-brightness pixel is smaller than that of in the regular pixel along second direction. An aperture area of the low-brightness pixel is gradually increased in a direction from the profiled border to the display region.

A display panel, a display apparatus, and a display panel driving method are provided. The display panel comprises a display region including a plurality of pixels arranged in both a first direction and a second direction. The first direction intersects the second direction, and a non-display region surrounding the display region. The display region includes at least one irregular edge intersecting both the first direction and the second direction. The plurality of pixels include a plurality of first pixels intersecting the at least one irregular edge and a plurality of second pixels without intersecting the at least one irregular edge. A first pixel has an initial grayscale g. In a display phase of the display panel, the initial grayscale g of the first pixel is adjusted to a display grayscale G, where G&#x3c;g.
