A method is disclosed for transmitting configuration data to an internetworking device to cause configuration of a network port on the internetworking device. The method comprises generating and causing display, on a computer display device, of a graphical user interface comprising a graphical representation of network ports on the internetworking device and a text area prompting input of current network environment information. Receiving input specifying the network environment. Automatically deriving network configuration values to configure the network port on the internetworking device, the network configuration values being based on the input. Displaying a graphical representation of the network port and the network configuration values corresponding to the network port. In response to input confirming the network configuration values for the network port, transmitting configuration data to the internetworking device to cause configuring of the network port using the network configuration values.

Configuring an appliance using intent-based information of a network

A selection of a first site indicator associated with a first tab is detected in a computer-generated graphical user interface. An expanded view of the first tab depicting nodes at a first physical site is presented. A first node is determined to be linked to a second node. The first node represents a first internetworking device at the first physical site and the second node represents a first building unit at the first physical site. A first communication link between the first node and the second node is presented in the expanded view of the first tab. The first node is determined to be linked to a second physical site external to the first physical site. A second communication link between the first node and the second physical site is presented in the expanded view of the first tab. The second physical site is displayed in a collapsed view of a second tab adjacent to the expanded view of the first tab.

Graphical user interface for displaying a hierarchical network topology in a single site view

A first node associated with a first site indicator is selected in a computer-generated graphical user interface. An expanded view of a first tab depicting a first set of nodes is presented. The first node represents a first internetworking device at the first physical site. A second node associated with a second site indicator is selected. An expanded view of a second tab depicting a second set of nodes is presented. The second node represents a second internetworking device at the second physical site external to the first physical site. A path route between the first node and the second node, intersecting nodes connecting the first node and the second node, additional nodes immediately adjacent to the intersecting nodes are determined. The path route, intersecting nodes, and additional nodes are displayed in the first tab and the second tab.

Graphical user interface for displaying a network traffic route in a single-view display

A method is disclosed for presenting, in a computer-generated graphical user interface, a network topology map of a plurality of nodes and data links. The plurality of nodes includes at least one aggregated node that represents multiple devices of a data communication network. Each of the data links represents a physical connection between devices represented by nodes. Detecting a selection of a first aggregated node and in response to detecting the selection, causing presentation of an expanded view comprising a list of the multiple devices of the first aggregated node. Detecting a selection of a first device of the multiple devices and presenting an updated network topology map comprising the plurality of nodes including the first aggregated node, the plurality of data links, and a first device node that represents the first device. The first aggregated node representing remaining devices of the two or more devices other than the first device.
