An on-line system that performs concentration and solvent exchange in order to improve a detection level of analytes by a liquid chromatograph (LC) is provided. The on-line system comprises: a first pump and a second pump for supplying a solvent; a liquid chromatograph (LC) including a separation column (SC) connected to the first pump; a trapping column (TC) for collecting the analytes separated from the separation column; a concentration column (CC) for concentrating the analytes collected in the trapping column (TC); a detector; and first to third switching valves that communicate fluid with at least one of the first or second pumps. The present invention relates to an interface unit which can be used in a laser ablation-direct analysis in real time-mass spectrometry (LA-DART-MS) system, and more particularly, provides an interface unit which can be disposed between a DART unit and an MS unit to improve detection sensitivity of a sample laser-ablated by a laser beam.

A method for relative quantitative analysis of a polymer using MALDI mass spectrometry, the method comprising the steps of preparing a plurality of polymer specimens having a thickness variation of 30% or less by electrospraying a solution including a polymer sample, a monomeric internal standard material, and a matrix through a mask for each different concentration of the polymer sample; obtaining MALDI mass spectra by irradiating laser beams to each of the plurality of polymer specimens, and calculating a signal intensity ratio of the polymer sample to the small molecule internal standard from peak results of the spectra; and depicting the calculated signal intensity ratio according to the concentration of the polymer sample to prepare a quantitative calibration curve, and the method capable of providing MALDI mass spectra with reduced overlapping peaks and thereby providing the relative quantitative analysis of a polymer with improved accuracy.

The present invention relates to a method for producing test pieces in which the thickness of the samples of homogeneous water-insoluble material is uniform, and to a method for quantitative analysis of water-insoluble material by analyzing such test pieces using MALDI mass spectrometry. Specifically, the test pieces can be produced by: adding a volatile solvent to a mixture of water-insoluble material and matrix; placing, in a pellet cup made of water-soluble material, and pressing, with even pressure, the sample obtained by mixing the mixture of water-insoluble material and matrix until the solvent has evaporated; and melting the pellet cup with water.

The present invention provides a method for relative quantitative analysis of a polymer using MALDI mass spectrometry, the method comprising the steps of: (S1) electro-spraying a solution containing a polymer sample and a matrix through a mask to prepare a plurality of polymer specimens with a thickness variation of 30% or less according to the concentration of the polymer sample; (S2) irradiating the respective plurality of polymer specimens with laser to obtain MALDI mass spectra; and (S3) creating a quantitative calibration curve from peak results of the MALDI mass spectra by using a signal of the polymer sample.

The present invention provides a method enabling a quantitative analysis of a polymer by MALDI mass spectrometry, and a method for manufacturing a sample for MALDI mass spectrometry for a quantitative analysis of a polymer. To that end, the methods can increase reproducibility of a MALDI spectrum by making uniform the thickness of a sample affecting the pattern in a polymer MALDI spectrum. The sample according to the present invention is applicable also to a commercial MALDI-TOF instrument, and, thus, can quantitatively analyze a polymer in a more efficient and faster manner.
