A method for determining volume of an object includes: obtaining a target depth image containing a target object which is captured by a depth image capturing device (S); performing segmentation based on depth data in the target depth image to obtain a target image region corresponding to the target object (S); determining a target circumscribed rectangle that corresponds to the target image region and meets a predetermined condition (S); determining volume of the target object based on the target circumscribed rectangle and the depth data of the target depth image (S). Compared to the laser-based determination method in the prior art, this method employs a depth image capturing device without a laser measurement device, and thus the economic cost is lower. Further, compared to the manual scale-based determination method in the prior art, the method employs a software program to automatically determine volume without manual cooperation, and has a higher accuracy and efficiency. It can be seen that the present scheme achieves a high accuracy, a high efficiency and a lower economic cost in determining volume of the object. An apparatus for determining volume of an object is further provided.

The present invention relates to security video monitoring for and discloses a motion analysis method and a code stream conversion method based on video compression code stream and apparatus thereof. In the invention, a total number of bits or a residual bit number of a macro block in a video I frame is extracted from the video compression code stream; weighted average is performed to the total number of bits or a residual bit number of the macro block whose position corresponds with the current macro block in the latest M frames and a background value is obtained through calculating; a difference value between the total number of bits or the residual bit number of the current macro block and the background value is calculated, and if the difference value is greater than a predetermined first threshold, then a moving object is determined to be detected. Weighted average background modeling is performed to macro block information, such as the total numbers of bits or the residual bit number of the macro block corresponds with the current macro block in latest M frames. Threshold determination is performed to a background difference value matching result and motion analysis is performed. Coding picture of the macro block between the frames does not need to be calculated. Calculated quantity is small and the adaptability to the code stream and a scene is strong.

A method and system for people flow statistics is disclosed in the invention, wherein said method comprises: multi-types of classifiers connected in parallel are used to perform the human head detection in the current image, the respective human heads in the current image are determined; the respective determined human heads are tracked to form the human head target movement tracks; and the people flow is counted at the direction of the human head target movement track. It can be seen, a plurality of classifiers connected in parallel are used in the invention, multi-types of human head targets, such as dark colored hair, light colored hair and caps of various colors, and the like, can be detected simultaneously.
