An optical system may include an emitter array to emit a plurality of beams of light, and a lens array. The lens array may be arranged to collimate and direct each of the plurality of beams of light. A pitch between lenses of the lens array may be larger than a pitch between emitters of the emitter array in order to cause the plurality of beams of light to be directed such that they diverge after exiting the lens array. The optical system may include a diffractive optical element to distribute each of the plurality of beams of light into a plurality of beamlets in association with creating a light pattern. The divergence of each of the plurality of beams of light may cause a plurality of zero-order beamlets, each corresponding to one of the plurality of beams of light, to diverge after exiting the diffractive optical element.

A structured light system may include a semiconductor laser to emit light and a diffractive optical element to diffract the light such that one or more diffracted orders of the light, associated with forming a structured light pattern, are transmitted by the diffractive optical element. The diffractive optical element may be arranged such that the light is to be incident on the diffractive optical element at a substantially non-normal angle of incidence. The substantially non-normal angle of incidence may be designed to cause the diffractive optical element to transmit a zero-order beam of the light outside of a field of view associated with the diffractive optical element.

A pump laser package may include an input fiber to send signal light on a first optical path inside a package, a source to send pump light on a second optical path inside the package, and an output fiber on a third optical path inside the package. The pump laser package may include a WDM filter inside the package to receive the signal light on the first optical path and send the signal light on the third optical path, and receive the pump light on the second optical path and send the pump light on the third optical path. The pump laser package may include an isolator inside the package to transmit the signal light in a first direction, and block the signal light in a second direction, or a photo-diode to receive a portion of the signal light sent on a fourth optical path.

A transistor outline (TO) package may include a TO cap. The TO package may include a TO header. The TO header may include a header stem of a first material and a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) value. The TO header may include a header base of a second material and a second CTE value. The first material and the second material may be different. The first CTE value and the second CTE value may be different. The first CTE value and the second CTE value may be within a threshold percentage of each other.

A pump laser package may include an input fiber to send signal light on a first optical path. A first lens may be arranged on the first optical path. The pump laser package may include a source to send pump light on a second optical path. A second lens and a negative lens may be arranged on the second optical path. The first lens and the negative lens may be arranged to create a virtual image associated with the pump light. The pump laser package may include an output fiber on a third optical path. The first lens may be arranged on the third optical path. The pump laser package may include a combiner to receive the signal light on the first optical path, receive the pump light on the second optical path, and send the signal light and the pump light on the third optical path.
