The present invention relates to a low-transmission dark mist green glass composition, more specifically relates to a low-transmission dark mist green glass composition in which FeO, CoO, Se and CrOare used as coloring components within a specific content range where for the coloring components the relative contents of (CoO+CrO) to Se and CoO to CrOare restricted to certain ranges and accordingly the visible transmittance (LT) is effectively controlled and thus a blocking performance for privacy is satisfied; the solar energy transmittance (T) and the UV transmittance (T) are lowered, and accordingly the cooling load for vehicles, buildings and the like is reduced and interior materials and people protection against UV rays is obtained; and the optimal range of chromaticity diagram of transparent colors is satisfied which accordingly reduces eyestrain and provides psychological stability.

The present invention relates to a dark neutral gray glass composition with a low transmittance, and a glass formed therefrom, and more specifically, to a dark neutral gray glass composition with a low transmittance and a low color purity, wherein an appropriate amount of FeO, CoO and Se are used as a colorant component, and the FeO content in FeOand the CoO and Se relative content are delimited by a predetermined range, so as to lower the transmittance of visible rays, solar energy and ultraviolet rays and color purity, thereby protecting privacy in a vehicle, a building and the like, enabling harmony among the various colors thereof, and protecting an interior material and people from ultraviolet rays, and to a glass formed therefrom.

Dark neutral gray glass composition with low transmittance, and glass formed therefrom

The present invention relates to a dark neutral green gray soda-lime glass composition comprising, as a colorant ingredient per 100 weight parts of a base glass composition, 1.4 to 2.5 weight parts of total FeO, 0.02 to 0.04 weight parts of CoO, 0.0001 to 0.004 weight parts of Se, 0.005 to 0.5 weight parts of MnO, and 0.05 to 1 weight parts of CeO. The glass composition of the present invention has a visible light transmittance (LT) of 15% or less, an ultraviolet ray transmittance (T) of 0 to 1%, and a solar transmittance (T) of 15% or less, measured for a reference thickness of 4 mm. As described above, the glass composition of the present invention is excellent in absorbing ultraviolet rays and solar heat, and therefore can be valuably used in privacy glass or a sunroof of a motor vehicle, or in glass used for construction.
