Embodiments include systems and methods for wireless device signaling a network regarding customized ringing signal (CRS) capability and use of such information by the network. Various embodiments may receiving from the network an INVITE message notifying the wireless device of an incoming call, determining whether the INVITE message indicates that the network provides CRS service if the wireless device supports a CRS function, and including an indication in a response to the INVITE that the wireless device supports the CRS function in response to determining that the INVITE message includes an alert information header field indicating that the network provides CRS service. Various embodiments include a network computing device receiving such information and performing negotiations for CRS service with the wireless device only if the wireless device indicates CRS functional capability.

User equipment signaling of customize ringing signal capability

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, during an active call on a first radio access technology (RAT), a signal strength associated with the first RAT is within a particular range above a handover threshold. The UE may determine, based at least in part on a signal strength of a second RAT, that the active call would be moved from the second RAT to a third RAT after a handover from the first RAT to the second RAT, and, may trigger mobility from the second RAT to the third RAT based at least in part on the determination that the signal strength associated with the first RAT is within the particular range and the determination that the active call would be moved from the second RAT to the third RAT. Techniques for improvement of voice over Wi-Fi to voice over cellular handovers

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for enabling collision mitigation for a user equipment (UE) operating in a dual active mode. In some aspects, the UE may generate a communication for a first subscription in a first time window associated with a first priority for a time domain division pattern with a second subscription. The UE may transmit, using the first subscription, the communication in a second time window associated with a second priority for the time domain division pattern. For example, the second time window associated with the second priority may be a time window in which traffic for the first subscription is prioritized. In some aspects, the UE may select modified periodic intervals for transmissions of a communication to mitigate collisions associated with the time domain division pattern. For example, a transmission time of the periodic communication may be varied (or randomized) over time.

Collision mitigation for a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual active (DSDA) user equipment

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, via a first subscriber service, at least one protocol data unit (PDU) session. The UE may receive a first internet protocol (IP) address associated with the first subscriber service. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect, while operating in an out-of-service (OOS) mode associated with a first network, that a second network satisfies one or more switching criteria. The UE may increase a time duration associated with a periodic network acquisition scan associated with the first network based at least in part on detecting that the second network satisfies the one or more switching criteria. The UE may switch, while operating in the OOS mode, from using the first network for connectivity to using the second network for connectivity based at least in part on detecting that the second network satisfies the one or more switching criteria. Efficient network acquisition scans

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, while the UE is in an active session using a first radio access technology (RAT) associated with a first subscription of the UE, a call request via the first RAT, wherein the call request is associated with a second subscription of the UE. The UE may determine that the call request is received from a serving cell that is associated with fallback from the first RAT to a second RAT for calls. The UE may reject the call request or transition the second subscription to a third RAT based at least in part on the determination that the call request is received via the serving cell that is associated with fallback from the first RAT to the second RAT for calls. Techniques for handling calls associated with user equipment transition from dual active mode to dual standby mode

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, during an active call on a first radio access technology (RAT), that a first condition for performing a handover from the first RAT to a second RAT is satisfied. The UE may determine that the second RAT would trigger a fallback to a third RAT after the handover from the first RAT to the second RAT and that a second condition for performing a handover from the third RAT to the first RAT is satisfied. The UE may refrain from performing the handover from the first RAT to the second RAT based at least in part on the determination that the second RAT would trigger the fallback and the determination that the second condition is satisfied. Various embodiments include methods and user equipment (UE) for mobile-terminated call handling when a latency-sensitive service (LSS) is active on the UE. Embodiments may include determining a radio access technology (RAT) used for a latency-sensitive service (LSS) currently active on the UE in response to receiving an MT call invitation and determining whether a latency-prone service command is received that includes service commands configured to change the determined RAT used for the LSS to another RAT likely to compromise the LSS. In response to determining that a latency-prone service command is received the MT call invitation may be rejected, but in response to determining that a latency-prone service command is not received, MT call alerting may be allowed.

Mobile-terminated call handling during latency-sensitive services

A configuration is disclosed to enable a UE to preempt SRVCC by triggering a handover to a Wi-Fi network. The apparatus determines whether a Wi-Fi cell is viable as a first target cell, from a plurality of target cells, serving the UE to continue the active transmission on the Wi-Fi cell. The apparatus extends a TTT timer length based at least in part on the determination that the Wi-Fi cell is viable as the target cell serving the UE to continue the active transmission on the Wi-Fi cell. The apparatus initiates a handover to the Wi-Fi cell from the first network prior to the expiration of a TTT timer and prior to the first network initiating a handover to a second target cell, from the plurality of target cells, on a second network.

Preempt single radio voice call continuity by moving to voice over WiFi to improve voice/video call quality

A user equipment (UE) expedites cell reselection by reselecting a neighbor cell prior to call setup. In one instance, the UE measures a signal quality of a serving cell and a signal quality of the neighbor cell. The UE starts a reselection timer for reselecting the neighbor cell based on the measured signal quality of the serving cell and the measured signal quality of the neighbor cell. The UE reselects the neighbor cell prior to a scheduled expiration of the reselection timer.

Fast cell reselection

A user equipment (UE) expedites cell reselection. In one instance, the UE starts a reselection timer for reselecting to a neighbor cell when a signal quality of a serving cell is determined to fall below a first threshold. The UE then expedites reselecting to the neighbor cell based on a difference between the signal quality of the serving cell and the signal quality of the neighbor cell when the signal quality of the serving cell falls below a second threshold.
