A display panel can include a plurality of first pixel circuits configured to receive a pixel driving voltage and a reference voltage for displaying an image; and a plurality of second pixel circuits including a power line supplied with the pixel driving voltage and a reference voltage line supplied with the reference voltage, the plurality of second pixel circuits being configured to short-circuit the power line to the reference voltage line for at least some amount of time within a vertical blank period. Also, the plurality of second pixel circuits can maintain uniform luminance of the plurality of first pixel circuits.

The present disclosure relates to a display device. The display device includes: a first source driver IC configured to receive pixel data to be written into sub-pixels of a first display area and a gamma compensation voltage for each grayscale and output a data voltage to be supplied to data lines of the first display area; a second source driver IC configured to receive pixel data to be written into sub-pixels of a second display area and the gamma compensation voltage for each grayscale and output a data voltage to be supplied to data lines of the second display area; a first programmable gamma IC configured to supply a first gamma reference voltage set to the first and second source driver ICs; and a second programmable gamma IC configured to supply a second gamma reference voltage set to the first and second source driver ICs.

The data driving device includes a selector for sequentially selecting pieces of gamma reference data input from banks in the order of a first color, a second color, and a third color, and a voltage output part for converting the pieces of gamma reference data for each color, which is sequentially input, into gamma reference voltages.

Disclosed herein are a foldable display and a driving method thereof which activate an entirety of a screen of a flexible display panel and display an image on a maximum screen when the flexible display panel is unfolded in an unfolded state, and activate a part of the screen when the flexible display panel is folded in a folded state to display the image on a screen that is smaller than the maximum screen and to display a black color on a deactivated screen.

Foldable display and driving method thereof

Disclosed herein is a display which activates a maximum screen which is an entirety of a screen of a flexible display panel to display an image thereon in an unfolded state of the flexible display panel and activates a part of the screen in a folded state of the flexible display panel so that the activated screen that is smaller than the maximum screen displays the image and a deactivated screen displays black.
