According to an aspect, a method comprises detecting a need to change a duplex mode in a first network node from half duplex to full duplex, determining relevant neighboring network nodes of the first network node, determining duplex pairing information of the first network node, wherein the duplex pairing information of the first network node comprises duplex information of the relevant neighboring network nodes, the duplex information comprising at least information on a current duplex mode of a corresponding neighboring network node, using the duplex pairing information to determine duplex modes of the relevant neighboring network nodes, if all the relevant neighboring network nodes operate in half duplex mode, causing changing the duplex mode of the first net-work node to full duplex; and in response to the causing changing the duplex mode, causing updating information on a current duplex mode of the first net-work node.

The present invention improves the frequency spectrum efficiency and the base station service quality are improved.

Inter-network shared frequency spectrum optimization system and method

A method, apparatus, and computer program for operating a shared spectrum pool in a cellular communication system is disclosed. The method includes: selecting, by a network apparatus of a first cellular communication system, a first frequency sub-band comprised in a shared spectrum pool of a licensed frequency spectrum as a primary sub-band, wherein the shared spectrum pool is divided into a plurality of sub-bands; forming, by the network apparatus, a frequency allocation pattern for the first frequency band, wherein the frequency allocation pattern specifies frequency allocation to at least one base station of the first cellular communication system within the first frequency sub-band; causing, by the network apparatus, said at least one base station of the first cellular communication system to occupy the first frequency sub-band according to the frequency allocation pattern; and causing, by the network apparatus, at least one base station of the first cellular communication system to occupy a second frequency sub-band comprised in the shared spectrum pool of a licensed frequency spectrum, wherein the second sub-band is a primary sub-band of a second cellular communication system.

Sharing operating frequency amongst wireless networks

Disclosed is a network interference coordination method in a co-primary spectrum sharing scenario. The method comprises the following steps: a first network and a second network negotiate an inter-network shared band, the shared band being in a shared spectrum pool; the first network evaluates inter-network interference; the first network determines whether to perform internal coordination, if internal coordination is performed, the first network performs internal coordination; if internal coordination is not performed, request the second network to perform inter-network interference coordination; the second network determines whether to perform internal coordination, if internal coordination is performed, the second network performs internal coordination; and if internal coordination is not performed, go back to the step of negotiating, by a first network and a second network, an inter-network shared band. The present invention can fairly and properly implement inter-network interference coordination in the co-primary spectrum sharing scenario.
