A display device includes a display panel, a first storage device, a second storage device and a control device. The first storage device is disposed on the display panel and stores a first firmware. The second storage device stores a second firmware. The control device is coupled to the first storage device and the second storage device. The control device reads the first firmware and uses the first firmware to update the second firmware, or receives a third firmware transmitted by a host terminal device and uses the third firmware to update the second firmware. The control device executes the updated second firmware to generate an image signal corresponding to the updated second firmware to the display panel. Therefore, the efficiency of updating the firmware of the display device may be effectively increased, and the convenience of use is increased.

Display device and firmware updating method thereof

An overcurrent protection method is provided. The overcurrent protection method is applied to a USB with a PD function. The overcurrent protection method includes the steps of converting an input voltage into a first voltage to provide power to the first electronic device; determining whether the working current of the first electronic device is greater than a first default value; determining whether the working current of the first electronic device is greater than a second default value; in response to the working current being greater than the first default value, a first sensing signal is generated to disable a switch and to form an open circuit between the first electronic device and the second electronic device; and in response to the working current being greater than the second default value, conversion of the input voltage into the first voltage is stopped.

Overcurrent protection circuit and method thereof for USB with a power delivery function

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel and a display controller. The display controller is electrically connected to a USB Type-C interface of a host via a USB Type-C interface of the display apparatus. In response to the USB Type-C interface of the display apparatus being in a USB Type-C default pin-assignment mode, the display controller receives an image signal from the host via two USB SuperSpeed channels of the USB Type-C interface of display apparatus. In response to a display mode of the display apparatus satisfying a specific condition, the display controller controls the USB Type-C interface of the display apparatus to enter a USB Type-C first pin assignment mode, so that the host utilizes the four USB SuperSpeed channels of the USB Type-C interface of the display apparatus to transmit the image signal to the display controller.

Display apparatus and control method for high display bandwidth thereof

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a backlight module, a power-supply circuit, and a system-control circuit. The display panel is configured to display an image signal. The backlight module is configured to provide backlight to the display panel. The power-supply circuit is configured to convert an alternating current (AC) source to a direct current (DC) voltage. The system-control circuit includes a power-loss-detection circuit and a display controller. The power-loss-detection circuit is configured to detect whether the DC voltage from the power-supply circuit has a power-loss event. The display controller is configured to control the display panel and the backlight module. In response to the power-loss-detection circuit detecting that the DC voltage has the power-loss event, the display controller performs a predetermined shutdown procedure to sequentially turn off the backlight module and the display panel.

Display apparatus and control method for power loss thereof

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes: a display panel, a non-volatile memory, and a controller. The controller is configured to adjust first gain values of the display panel, and obtain two-dimensional color coordinates in a first predetermined color space of the white screen displayed by the display apparatus as white-color coordinates. The controller further adjusts colors displayed by the display apparatus to fit a second predetermined color space, calculates second gain values in the second predetermined color space according to the white-color coordinates, and stores the second gain values in a color-calibration setting in a non-volatile memory of the display apparatus. In response to a selection signal from the display apparatus, the controller reads the color-calibration setting corresponding to the selection signal from the non-volatile memory for execution to perform color calibration on the display apparatus.

Display apparatus and color-calibration method thereof

A display device is provided. The display device includes a display panel, a backlight controller, a light source module, and an image processor circuit. The display panel is divided into display regions. The backlight controller generates driving signals according to control signals. The light source units in the light source module are controlled respectively by the driving signals to emit light. The image processor circuit generates the control signals according to input image data. The image processor circuit obtains a respective estimated current according to the sum of first and second color brightness gains of the pixel cells in each display region and further determines an adjustment factor according to the sum of all the estimated currents. When the backlight controller operates in a high brightness mode, the image processor circuit changes the control signals according to the adjustment factor, thereby adjusting the driving signals.
