A rechargeable battery is introduced, and an exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a rechargeable battery including: an electrode assembly configured to charge and discharge a current; a case accommodating the electrode assembly therein; a cap plate configured to seal an opening of the case; an electrode terminal electrically connected to the electrode assembly and externally drawn out through the cap plate; a first valve assembly installed in an electrolyte injection opening of the cap plate to open and close the electrolyte injection opening; a gas removal opening formed in the cap plate to remove a gas; and a second valve assembly installed in the gas removal opening to open and close the gas removal opening.

A pouch type rechargeable battery according to an exemplary embodiment includes: an electrode assembly that includes a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode; a fixing member that includes a first fixing member and a second fixing member positioned at opposite sides of the electrode assembly; and a pouch that is provided with an accommodation part for accommodating the electrode assembly and a sealing part that surrounds the accommodation part and is thermo-bonded, wherein the fixing member may have a first part overlapping the electrode assembly, a second part overlapping the sealing part, and a width of the second part is narrower than the sealing part.

In a method of processing a substrate, a first plasma may be generated from a first reaction gas. A second plasma may be generated from a second reaction gas. The first plasma and the second plasma may be individually applied to the substrate. Thus, each of the at least two remote plasma sources may generate at least two plasmas under different process recipes, which may be optimized for processing the substrate. As a result, the substrate processed using the optimal plasmas may have a desired shape.

Method of processing a substrate and apparatus for performing the same

A secondary battery including an intermediate layer having a pattern formed by carbon and a binder between a substrate and an active material layer and reinforcing adhesion between the substrate and the active material layer. In the intermediate layer, the carbon and the binder in the intermediate layer are adjacent to each other. Therefore, the active material is prevented from being detached from the substrate, thereby improving performance of the secondary battery. A small amount of the binder having strong adhesion is used in the active material slurry, thereby ensuring safety of the battery.

Secondary battery

There are provided an electrode assembly and a secondary battery using the same. An electrode assembly includes a first electrode plate having a first non-coating portion formed along one end portion in a length direction thereof; a second electrode plate having a second non-coating portion formed along the other end portion opposite to the first non-coating portion; and a separator interposed between the first and second electrode plates. In the electrode assembly, the first electrode plate, the second electrode plate and the separator are wound in a jelly-roll shape, and the electrode assembly further includes a clamping member that fixes at least one of the first and second non-coating portions. Accordingly, although the thickness of an electrode tab is increased, it is possible to simply manufacture high-power, high-capacity medium- and large sized batteries.
